On his birthday, we remember and honour Mr Harry Stubbs, the founding headmaster of Clifton. His vision and dedication in 1924 laid the very first foundations of our school and continue to shape who we are today. Stubbs House stands proudly as a lasting reminder of where it all began.

Our Old Boys’ Reunion Dinner was truly special. The evening was filled with connection, emotion & powerful reflections from our guest speakers.

We celebrated the 20-year reunion of the founding College Class of 2006, along with milestone reunions for the classes of 1986, 2006 & 2016.

𝐎𝐥𝐝 𝐁𝐨𝐲𝐬’ 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤 𝐠𝐨𝐭 𝐨𝐟𝐟 𝐭𝐨 𝐚 𝐟𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚 𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐥 𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐢𝐱𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐝 𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐤, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐭𝐨𝐧 𝐎𝐥𝐝 𝐁𝐨𝐲𝐬.

The Old Boys came out on top across most of the matches, with wins in cricket, basketball, golf, and hockey, and a hard fought draw in soccer. The only loss on the night came in water polo, where the Clifton School Gents proved invincible, beating the Old Boys 18 to 13.

At Kingsmead Oval, the Old Boys secured a strong cricket win by 86 runs. Basketball saw a 37 to 23 victory over the College Gents, while golf at Kloof Country Club ended 4 to 1 in favour of the Old Boys.

Hockey delivered another dominant performance with an 8 to 2 win, and soccer ended in a competitive 1 all draw. Fantastic energy at last week's padel competition, with a round-robin format delivering quality matchups all day. The Old Boys dominated the standings claiming the top four spots among eight competing teams. Competitive, spirited, and played exactly as Old Boys sport should be - hard fought and thoroughly enjoyed.

The 𝐈𝐜𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐫 at the 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐲 𝐑𝐢𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬 𝐏𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 brought all teams together afterwards for drinks and delicious lamb rolls generously sponsored by Karoo Kitchen | Deli & Butchery, Distillery 031 and Solstice Seltzer . With fines dished out, trophies 🏆 presented, plenty of laughter, and great reconnecting, it was a perfect lead into Old Boys’ Week.
