ADHD isn’t just about attention.
For children and adults with ADHD, the hardest part can be stopping an impulse, managing big emotions, getting started, or staying organised.
And sometimes, it’s not that you don’t know what to do.
Your nervous system is simply moving faster than your thinking brain can keep up.
The Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) is a gentle, listening-based approach that supports nervous system regulation.
As the nervous system becomes more regulated, it can become easier to:
- Pause before reacting
- Manage emotional ups and downs
- Stay focused and present
- Handle frustration and overwhelm
- Access executive function more consistently
- Feel more in control — rather than controlled by your reactions.
SSP doesn’t “fix” ADHD. Instead, it supports the nervous system underneath the behaviours, helping children and adults build greater capacity for regulation.
A calmer nervous system creates more space for the brain to do what it does best.
Throughout August, enjoy 20% OFF all Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) bundles.
Whether you're seeking support for yourself or your child, there's never been a better opportunity to invest in a calmer, more resilient nervous system.
This offer is available for August only.

I thought I would share my experience in the hopes of helping someone in need. I am currently doing my second round of SSP, having completed the first-round last September. I am using it to help with adult ADHD-related issues—mainly impulse control, executive function, and emotional regulation.
What I can say is that I truly love doing it. The thought that comes to mind when I listen is, "This is what my body needs." What I notice while listening is a complete calmness in my limbs—mainly my hands and feet. No fidgeting, just total stillness, which is something I can honestly say I have never felt before.
I find SSP to be incredibly therapeutic.
In terms of tangible improvements, it's hard to pinpoint specific changes. For me, I see it more as a massage for my nervous system—it just feels incredibly good. My body craves it, and I look forward to doing it every day. I can complete the full half-hour and have had no noticeable side effects.
It took several sessions for me to figure out what works best. Now, I sit on the couch, put on my headphones, and do absolutely nothing. I stare off into space and let my body calm down. Very simple—I don’t read, I don’t colour, etc. I just sit. And be.
For ADHD management, there are so many exciting tools and modalities available. My choice is to forgo medication and instead explore alternative methods that address the root of the issue.
I hope this helps someone gain a new perspective.

Have you ever wondered why you keep reacting the same way... even when you know better?
It's not a lack of willpower.
It's your nervous system doing what it was designed to do—keeping you safe.
When your nervous system learns to recognise safety, everything begins to change:
- You recover from stress more quickly.
- You think more clearly and regulate your emotions with greater ease.
- You feel more connected, confident and comfortable in your relationships.
The Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) is a gentle, neuroscience-based listening intervention that helps support nervous system regulation, with coaching and guidance every step of the way.

Within days of running the SSP at the end of Feb, I noticed I appear to have a total elimination of all social anxiety. In March, I even went on a trip to England to meet my hubbies UK family for the first time - he had not even seen them himself since he left England when he was 8 years old.
It was only upon returning home that I suddenly realized I had not had a moment of social anxiety before, during or after the trip.
I never once second guessed a thing that I said, I never worried about whether or not people liked me, and I just found the whole experience to be profoundly enjoyable and easy.
And I am an introvert and was staying in the home of people who, prior to my arrival, were total strangers to me.
It is now late April, and I have still not had any experiences of social anxiety or even significant anxiety in general, since doing the SSP mid-Feb. I will be excited to run the program on myself again, mid to late August.

Just like your phone...
When stress lasts too long, your brain starts conserving energy.
When the battery gets critically low, it switches into Low Power Mode to conserve energy.
Your brain does something very similar.
When stress continues for too long, your nervous system starts saving energy.
Suddenly it's harder to:
- Think clearly.
- Stay patient.
- Learn new things.
- Stay connected.
- Feel motivated.
It isn’t laziness and you’re not failing
Your nervous system is simply trying to help you survive.
How do we respond?
By pushing even harder.
An exhausted nervous system doesn't need more pressure.
It needs more safety.
The Safe & Sound Protocol (SSP) is designed to help your nervous system recognise cues of safety again.
No exercises.
No complicated techniques.
🎧 Just listen.
Think Better. Feel Better. Just Listen.

What an incredibly positive experience SSP has been.
I called Michaela out of sheer desperation as I knew my nervous system was stuck in
fight/ flight mode due to the incredible amount of stress I had been under.
I was rather sceptical but understood the theory behind the process and was willing to give it a go.
After the first 2 weeks of listening to the music, I began to notice a difference in my body.. a sense of release
When I finished the course I felt like I had been fixed and was able to go about my life in a much calmer body and frame of mind.
It works.
The lovely thing about this process is that you can break the listening down into small sessions which a busy person is able to manage and you have the weekly support of Michaela.
Michaela is such a wonderful person to help you through the process, and I really enjoyed our weekly chats. It was so lovely to be able to download and decode the previous weeks listening and events with someone I felt very comfortable with.
I highly recommend doing SSP, you won’t regret it.

What if you're not the problem?
Ever found yourself thinking...
"I just can't do this anymore."
Most of us assume we should simply cope better.
Be stronger.
Push harder.
But what if your brain is simply doing exactly what it was designed to do?
Your nervous system has one job...
Keep you safe.
When life becomes too demanding for too long, your brain doesn't become broken—it becomes protective.
Exhaustion, poor concentration, irritability, anxiety or wanting to withdraw may not be signs of weakness.
They may simply be signs that your nervous system has been working overtime.
This week, instead of asking,
"What's wrong with me?"
Try asking,
"What is my nervous system trying to protect me from?"
