Third Annual Public Speaking Tournament

On Saturday, we hosted our biggest public speaking tournament yet, with 13 teams participating! It was a wonderful morning filled with powerful speeches, insightful ideas and new friendships.

We are incredibly proud that NGHS was crowned tournament champions for the first time in the competition’s three-year history! 🏆 Congratulations to Curro Heritage House on finishing as runners-up.

We are incredibly proud of two of our talented learners who participated in the Northwood musical, 'A Knight of Mystery', this past weekend! 🎭

Noami Mabida in Grade 11 stood out as a beautiful main dancer, while Usiphile Peyana in Grade 10 shone brightly as a member of the ensemble. 🌟

Our NGHS family came together to celebrate a remarkable milestone 77 years of shaping young women and building a proud legacy.

The occasion included the recognition of our dedicated long-serving staff, the presentation of the Service Above Self Award to Mrs Rangasamy, and a special welcome to the Class of 2026 as our next generation of alumni.

Our MSA girls beat the rainy-morning blues by preparing 250 sandwiches for those in need. We are incredibly proud of their compassion, teamwork and commitment to serving the community. 🩶⚔️

On Friday, 7 August, our Grade 10 and 11 Dramatic Arts learners had the exciting opportunity to attend the annual Hilton Arts Festival.

The learners watched three professional theatre performances, providing a valuable opportunity to deepen their understanding of the Dramatic Arts syllabus and experience live theatre in action.
