Howsit people! At KD Tutors we hold discipline and a culture of organization in the highest esteem. Yes, we offer specialized tuition in all subjects within the CAPS and IEB curriculums but often the bulk of an educator's work is showing children the value of being a worthwhile person and that what they do matters. It matters to them and the people around them. So my piece of advice today for all children would be to set your room in order. Take control of that little sphere of influence you have. Start with yourself and move outward. Parents help them distinguish between chaos and order before they go out into the world and try to solve its myriad of problems. Learn. Achieve. Repeat.

Children need highly specific long and short term goals. Set them up for success. At KD Tutors SA, its mandatory for all students to be a part of the ACHIEVE program, where we identify and track short and long term goals. In my experience, when kids ask for the things they value, by reorienting their lives to serve that goal, they get it. The likelihood that any of us stumble on success is slim. Planning and time management at an early age make our children participators.

Children learn best when they're aware of what's happening around them and when they're organized. A5 homework notebook and using there phone calendars to schedule their days. A little ink goes a long way.
