Tropical Depression 5 passed to the north and west of Bermuda early Sunday morning, before strengthening into Tropical Storm Edouard Sunday evening.

Rain and wind have died down across Bermuda as Edouard is now well to the northeast of the islands.

"The system will move over colder ocean waters overnight Sunday, allowing the storm to lose its tropical characteristics," AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Rob Miller said. "By Monday, the storm is expected to become a post-tropical storm as it moves over the northern Atlantic Ocean."

NOTICE THE EAST TO WEST MOVEMENT....WHY?
The system is driven west by the easterlies.

VERY FEW TROPICAL CYCLONES HIT COUNTRIES IN THE SOUTH ATLANTIC? WHY?
The waters of the south Atlantic ocean is too cold to sustain the system. Ocean temperatures above 27 ⁰C is needed for tropical cyclones to form and become stronger. There is not enough latent heat for the system to be sustained and it dissipates.

PREDICT WHAT WILL HAPPEN WITH EDOUARD WHEN IT MOVES SOUTH OF THE 30⁰ LATITUDE.
It will firstly turn east, because it is now driven by the westerlies that dominates in the Ferrell Cell.
It will start to dissipate because of the much lower ocean temperatures.

DERANGED DRAINAGE SYSTEM - Drainage pattern that is highly irregular. Areas that have experienced continental glaciation may have this type of drainage pattern. Moving chunks of ice are called glaciers. They sit in very cold, very high places like the tops of mountains or near the North and South Poles. Glacier pick up rocks as it moves forward, these rocks erode the land in an irregular pattern where rivers form when the glacier melts.
