UJCTF LESOTHO TOUR 2026 second briefing:🇱🇸

Today’s session will focus on the Lesotho Highlands Water Project (LHWP) and the engineering, infrastructure, and lessons from this major water project.💧🏗️

We’ll also have the privilege of hearing from Mr Andrew Tanner Pr. Eng., FSAICE, an experienced civil engineer who has been involved in the project and will be sharing valuable insights from his experience working on the LHWP.

The UJ Civil Tech Forum in partnership with IntegraTech Society proudly collaborated with Look Forward Creativity Centre & Child’s Haven to honour Nelson Mandela’s legacy through service, compassion and community upliftment.

From installing light bulbs and assisting with improvements around the centre to spending meaningful time with the children, every small action contributed towards creating a safer, brighter and more welcoming environment. 💡🏗️

Our Knitting Initiative came to life as the UJ Civil Tech Forum visited a local orphanage to donate hand-knitted hats and scarves made with care and compassion. Every stitch represented warmth, hope, and the power of giving back.

📢 EXTENDED PAD DRIVE DONATION DATE 💗🩸

The UJ Civil Tech Forum has officially extended the sanitary item donation drive until August 2026!

We are still calling on students and staff to support this meaningful initiative by donating sanitary products such as pads, tampons, menstrual cups, and other hygiene essentials for young girls in need. 🌸

📍 Drop-off Location: Civil Building
📅 Donations accepted daily

Every contribution, no matter how small, can make a huge difference in restoring dignity and confidence to young girls. Let’s come together and make an impact in our community. ❤️

Yesterday, members of the UJ Civil Tech Forum attended the SAICE Johannesburg Branch Meeting, where students had the opportunity to engage with industry professionals, gain valuable insights into the future of engineering, and expand their professional networks. 🏗️📚
