Mandela Day in action ๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿค

The UJ Civil Tech Forum in partnership with IntegraTech Society proudly collaborated with Look Forward Creativity Centre & Childโ€™s Haven to honour Nelson Mandelaโ€™s legacy through service, compassion and community upliftment.

From installing light bulbs and assisting with improvements around the centre to spending meaningful time with the children, every small action contributed towards creating a safer, brighter and more welcoming environment. ๐Ÿ’ก๐Ÿ—๏ธ

Mandela Day reminds us that positive change begins when we step forward and serve. Together, we can build more than structures โ€” we can build hope, dignity and stronger communities.

โ€œIt is in your hands to create a better world for all who live in it.โ€ โ€” Nelson Mandela

๐Ÿงถ๐Ÿ’™ Spreading Warmth, Sharing Kindness.

Our Knitting Initiative came to life as the UJ Civil Tech Forum visited a local orphanage to donate hand-knitted hats and scarves made with care and compassion. Every stitch represented warmth, hope, and the power of giving back.

A sincere thank you to everyone who contributed and made this initiative possible. Together, weโ€™re making a differenceโ€”one act of kindness at a time. ๐Ÿค๐Ÿงก

Our final year students then had the incredible opportunity to take part in a practical and insightful site visit hosted by PERI Engineering following the guest lecture on Temporary Works Engineering. ๐Ÿ—๏ธ๐Ÿ‘ท๐Ÿฝโ€โ™‚๏ธ

The visit provided students with valuable hands-on experience, where they were able to engage directly with formwork systems and temporary works equipment while gaining real-world industry exposure and practical knowledge beyond the classroom.

A sincere thank you to the PERI team for their time, professionalism, and commitment to developing future engineers through such impactful learning experiences. Your support and willingness to share industry expertise are truly appreciated.

It was a highly successful and enriching experience for our final year students, and we look forward to more collaborations in the future. ๐Ÿ™Œ
