Through our partnership with and Agricultural Development Bank of South Africa and , we are empowering a group of persons with disabilities sponsored by Mutual - RMA with essential business and market-access skills.
The training focuses on Market Opportunities, Agri-Industry perspectives, market readiness and compliance, sales strategies for SMEs, and aggregator support and supplier opportunities.

The goal is to ensure that when participants establish and grow their farming enterprises, they are equipped with the knowledge, confidence, and practical tools needed to access markets, identify opportunities, and connect with the right industry partners.

We are proud to announce an exciting partnership between Buhle Farmers' Academy and the Mohair Empowerment Trust
Through this collaboration, our students have received valuable training in mohair production, equipping them with the knowledge and practical skills required to participate in one of South Africa’s most successful agricultural industries.

The Mohair Empowerment Trust is committed to identifying and supporting emerging farmers on their journey to becoming fully commercial mohair producers. This initiative not only drives transformation within the sector but also strengthens South Africa’s position as a global leader in mohair production.

At Buhle Farmers' Academy we are committed to creating opportunities that expose our students to high-value agricultural enterprises and sustainable career pathways. We are proud to build partnerships that empower the next generation of farmers and contribute to the growth and innovation of South African agriculture.

In an endeavour to diversify the crops produced on campus, Buhle Farmers Academy has entered into a strategic partnership with Soufflet Malt to produce barley — a key crop used in the production of beverages across the country.

With Soufflet Malt currently constructing a R2 billion (€100 million) malting facility in the Midvaal Municipality, south of Johannesburg, and scheduled for completion in 2027, Buhle is proud to play a strategic and meaningful role in this exciting agricultural development.

Training sessions with the Buhle staff were successfully concluded today, marking another important milestone in strengthening skills, innovation, and future opportunities within the barley value chain. We are proud to be partnering on projects that contribute to the growth and sustainability of South African agriculture.
