Training and Development Unit:

The company’s main focus is on training and development. Training is done on site and most of the training is unit standard based. is accredited with the Transport Education and Training Authority (TETA), Mining Qualifications Authority (MQA), Construction Education and Training Authority (CETA) and Education Training and Development Practices SETA (ETDP) as well as with the Department of Employment and Labour. The following courses are now being presented under the auspices of the various Sector Education and Training Authorities (SETA):

Mining Qualification Authority (MQA) – Skills Programmes

* Competent person A: UG coal
* Competent person A: Surface mining
* Competent person B: UG coal
* Operate mining machinery in UG coal mines
* Blasting assistant – Surface mining
* Blasting assistant – Underground mining
* Generic management for middle managers in the SA mining and mineral sector
* Operating mobile equipment for surface excavation operations
* Health and Safety for safety representatives and shop stewards
* Emergency Based Care (First aid)
* Maintain a Conveyor Belt System in the Mining Sector
* Gas Testing: Underground
* Flame Proofing: Underground

Transport Education and Training Authority (TETA)

* Operate cab controlled overhead cranes
* Operate pendant controlled overhead cranes
* Operate counter balanced lift trucks
* Lift and move a load using manual lifting tackle
* Operate a mobile elevating work platform
* Perform basic life support and first aid procedures

On Friday, 02 October 2026, we enjoyed a memorable day at Kriel Golf Course alongside our clients and industry colleagues, including representatives from the Seriti Group, Thungela Group, Sasol and others.

The SACHRA Golf Day offered a welcome opportunity to reconnect, socialize and strengthen relationships in a relaxed setting. There was plenty of fun, laughter and conversation, with time to connect beyond our daily work commitments.

We also had the pleasure of meeting and engaging with SACHRA President Mr Letlotlo Modise, board members Mr Khona Dlamini and Ms. Linah Mahlangu, and other valued guests.

At Starcrow 36 (Pty) Ltd, we value opportunities to spend time with our clients and colleagues, exchange ideas and build the relationships that support our work together.
