Kindly note that Mr Masenya SJ, the principal has been promoted to an IDSO position at Gauteng North district with effect from the 1st September 2023. He will be leaving the school on the 30th November 2023. His new responsibilities will be supporting and monitoring several schools in the district.

Dear Grade 12 Learners,

Congratulations and welcome to your final grade in the basic education system.

Your 12 (or more) years of foundational schooling cannot and will not be in vain!

You are representing the hopes of all who witnessed your growth over the years to date. You are the pride of your parents and the envy of your neighbours.

Some of you will be trend setters in your families - while others have to emulate the feats and achievements of older siblings and family members. You cannot and will not be the 'black sheep' in the family.

As quickly as this year started it will soon be coming to an end. You do not have a reason to spend any day without reading your school work. Your teachers will support you but they will expect you to reciprocate by doing your work consistently and attending all extra interventions aimed at helping you. I urge you to reach out and ask for help when you need it.

You, the class of 2022, have on your shoulders a responsibility to remove the challenges brought about by the COVID-19 Pandemic in the school. Your performance has to take the school where it belongs - among the best.

To all Grade 11 Learners:

Having realised that our matric learners struggle with basics every year, we have taken a deliberate decision to treat grade 11 exactly as we do Grade 12s.

This is part of on-going efforts by our SMT and teaching staff to assist and support learners in Grade 11 who are struggling to cope.

Please note that the Grade 11 learners at the school will be expected to:

1. Attend regular extra lessons

2. Invite their parents to all special grade meetings.

3. Attend motivational sessions organised specifically for them.

We also request that the parents of learners currently in Grade 11 treat them as if they were Grade 12 learners. Help them by encouraging them and emphasizing the importance of the last two years of high school.

To all new Grade 8 or Grade 9 learners at Chipa-Tabane Comprehensive High School:

We welcome our new cohort of Grade 8 learners from our feeder schools. We request that parents grace the Grade 8 parents meetings in full attendance as these are essential and informative for new learner orientation at Chipa-Tabane.

Grade 9 learners and parents, please note that this grade serves a preparatory grade for the Further Education And Training / FET level. (For more information about FET / GET please visit our website https://chipatabane.co.za/).

In the third term, learners and parents should sit together and choose the subjects that you will study for the next three years of high school.

Remember that the subjects you choose will determine your future career prospects.

Selecting subjects which are best suited to your academic performance and which you are genuinely passionate about, will contribute toward your success in the last few years of high school and afterwards when you study or work.

Dear Learners and Parents of Chipa-Tabane Comprehensive High School

The difficult year that was 2021 has come and gone and we are now facing the year 2022. In a week's time, on the 20th of January 2022, the 2021 Grade 12 learners will be receiving the results from their final year at our school.

There will be those that may not make it and I ask you to support these learners, as it is our duty to be extra supportive where necessary to counteract the effects of the Covid-19 Pandemic.

To those who will make it we congratulate them in advance and wish them well in their future endeavours. We hope to see their good progress in the next few years to come.
