Confidence isn't always standing at the front of the room.

Sometimes it's trying again after getting it wrong, asking a question out loud, sharing a toy without being asked, putting up a hand, or saying goodbye with a smile.

Ever watched a little one grip a crayon like it's a hammer?

That's not a phase to fix, it's a stage to support.

Pencil grip develops through a whole chain of skills, shoulder stability, hand strength, and countless hours of play, long before it ever needs to look "correct."

Squeezing playdough, threading beads, using tongs at snack time, even climbing and crawling all build the muscles that make holding a pencil possible later on.

So next time you see a fist-wrapped grip on a crayon, know that it's part of the journey, not something to worry about.

Every small choice you hand your child, what to wear, packing their own bag, a little job that's just theirs, is a tiny building block of confidence. And one day, that confidence turns into a kid who believes they can do hard things.

Today was absolutely incredible, filled with so much excitement, fun and laughter! 🏃‍♀️🏅❤️

Watching our littlest ones get involved, right through to our big children, was so special. Seeing just how much they have grown, how confidently they participated and how much fun they had made our hearts so happy. 🥹❤️

A huge well done to everyone for making it such an exciting day and for hyping your classes up! You all brought such amazing energy! 🎉🙌

And a very special thank you to all the parents who were able to come and support us. Having you there cheering the children on made the day even more special. ❤️

Sunshine, painting and pure joy!

Our Kids Village friends made the most of the golden afternoon light, getting creative outdoors with a paintbrush in hand and a smile on every face.

There's nothing quite like watching little ones lose themselves in colour and play.
