CLOCOLAN RUGBY BOYS, KA HARE SUPER MAIZE MEAL, DR. C. SCHOLTZ, COACHES, PARENTS, STAFF AND GOVERNING BODY
What an incredible 2026 rugby season it has been!
Our 1st Rugby Team played in the Oos-Vrystaat Platteland League final; although the final score was not in our favor, every player can walk off the field with his head held high. What you achieved is something special that cannot be described in words!
For the second year after rugby was introduced Clocolan's 1st team already won the league in 2025 we competed again in a final—an achievement that fills us with enormous pride. You showed that Clocolan belongs among some of the best rugby schools in the Eastern Free State. And on Thursday, 27 August our season will come to an end with our u/16 boys taking on Marquard.
What a season it was for Clocolan Rugby!
- Runners up in the B-League for 2026
- Our u/16 team has been established and will compete in the league in 2027
- Our Rugby Sportsday was a resounding success
These are not merely results on a page—they are the result of hard work, dedication, discipline, sacrifice, perseverance, and faith.
To every player: THANK YOU!
Thank you for every practice, every dedicated day of blood, sweat, and tears, every hard tackle, every kilometer run, every time you got back up after you fell, and every moment in which you wore the Clocolan jersey with pride.
Remember: winning isn't everything. One sometimes learns some of your greatest and most important life lessons when you lose. Our 1st team may not have lifted the lrague trophy, but you learned something far more valuable—to never give up, to stand together, to show character when things get tough, and to know with pride that you gave everything. Humble in victory and humble in defeat!
The final score does not determine your worth or your future. Your character determines it.
A special word of thanks to our parents for every drive, every sacrifice, every bit of support on the sidelines, and every time you believed in your sons.
To our coaches: thank you for your time, expertise, patience, guidance, and incredible dedication. You didn't just develop rugby players, but young men of character.
To our Rugby sponsor, Ka Hare Maize Meal, Dr. Scholtz without your continued investment into our sports development we would not been able to achieve results of success.
To our governing body and staff: thank you for your support, involvement, and the many sacrifices made behind the scenes to give Clocolam rugby the opportunity to compete at this level. A special note of thanks to Mme. Koto.
And above all: We thank God.
We acknowledge that every talent, every ability, every opportunity, and every strength to keep going is a gift from God. We are grateful that God gave our boys the talents with which they can honor and praise Him—on the rugby field as well.
Boys, now we close an exceptional 2026 rugby season—but we do not close the dream.
We are already looking ahead with great expectation.
2026 showed where Clocolan can reach.
2027 is waiting to show how far Clocolan can go!
Keep the faith. Keep the discipline. Keep the hunger. Hold onto each other.
