The Green School – Intentional Education
Founded in 2013, The Green School offers a nurturing, innovative learning environment from Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 12. The Green School campus is spread out across a beautiful 3 hectare farm on an estate in Chartwell North, Johannesburg, South Africa. The farm offers many opportunities for students to work with, observe and care for the animals. Th

e school has adopted the American common core standards and benchmarks from Kindergarten to Grade 12. The school year begins in January and ends in December and follows the 3 term private school calendar. The school day begins at 08h00 every day and ends at 14h00 . Except on Wednesday the whole school ends at 13h00 and our teachers take part in professional development. All Middle and High School courses are accredited by AdvancED, the unified organization of the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA CASI) and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI), USA. Graduates from The Green School receive a USA High School Diploma and gain access to universities around the world.
