I will start with the basic concepts (if needed) and I will develop a competent speaker, writer and reader of English.

After being out of SA for 12 years,I returned only to find that some students are getting a raw deal as far as education is concerned.I came back to try and make a difference and that is my main goal with tutoring. You tell me what you need, and I will provide it.

AN ABORIGINAL AUSTRALIAN IS MORE GENETICALLY SIMILAR TO A SCANDINAVIAN THAN ONE AFRICAN TRIBESMAN IS TO ANOTHER. How is that possible? Well, for the first ~150,000 years of our existence, all of our genetic diversity was contained in Africa. Sometime between 80,000 and 60,000 years ago, a single group or a few small ones (with their relative lack of genetic diversity) crossed into the Middle East, and they spread into Asia, Australia and Europe displacing other human species along the way. Some estimates have this group as small as 300 individuals, and those folks were the ancestors to both Indigenous Australians and Scandinavians - and everyone in between. Several earlier human dispersals from Africa apparently failed, although some of these seem to have left genetic traces in the other human species (Neanderthals, Denisovans, and perhaps Homo erectus) with whom they interbred. Schuster et al. (2010) report that there is more genetic diversity between three Bushmen tribes in the 300 x 500 mile Kalahari than between an average Asian and a European. WOW! We're all 99.9% genetically similar, and it's that 0.1% that sometimes divides us. We need to keep in mind that we are all cousins - and pretty damn close cousins at that! Check out Paleo Human Mysteries Episode 3 for more info on this.
