🫟 Scenic painting with the First Years 🎨🎭

Today our First Years started with their first day of scenic painting and we started with the most challenging - wood grain 😱

So chuffed with them! Next week they’ll finish wood grain and move onto bricks!

We train performers who mean business 💪 Our students learn every aspect of the performing arts, from page to stage.

What a treat to see our very own maestro luigiacasaleggio in action as Assistant Musical Director on “Pretty Woman” 🌟

Not only were we treated to a smashing show, we were taken backstage!

A little throwback 💫

Our English Children’s Theatre production of “Hansel and Gretel” was nothing short of marvellous!
We are so proud of our talented students who not only performed in both “Pinocchio” and “Hansel & Gretel” but also were crew for both!

This is one of our most challenging seasons at the college and the students took each opportunity and blew us and the audiences away!

On the 25th of March, the faculty of Scenario College had the immense privilege of presenting the classes of 2024 and 2025 with their certifications in Performing Arts and Enterprise.

It was warm and beautiful evening spent together with people who have become family.
We are so proud of each of the graduates and can’t wait to see them take the world by storm!

What a time to be at Scenario College! 🌟

Last night, our incredible founders won the CEO’s award for innovation or contribution to theatre 🎭 a huge congratulations to Tiaan Kirsten-Lubbe (also our HOD of performance and academics) and Lian Sachse (also HOD of arts enterprise and academics).

Our HOD of Theatre Technology and Production was also a nominee this year, in the best Costume Design category for Scenario’s production of “Sweeney Todd” last year. Congratulations to Ashleigh Hilton for your nomination.

At Scenario, our students are taught and mentored by skilled and passionate professionals in the arts industry. We are continually innovating and encouraging growth and resilience in the theatre and entertainment industry of South Africa.

We train artists who mean business 💪

Congratulations to all the nominees last night but an even greater congratulations to all those who weren’t necessarily recognised but continue to pour their time, talent and passion into the industry we love.

Last night, our founders and directors, Tiaan Kirsten-Lubbe and Lian Sachse were awarded the Naledi Theatre Awards CEO’s Award for Innovation in and Contribution to Theatre 🏆 for their work and leadership through Scenario Performing Arts.

We believe the stage is big enough for all of us.
And when doors don’t exist… we create them.
