Every life lost to drowning is one too many.

Drowning is one of the leading causes of accidental death among young children, yet it is largely preventable through education, supervision and water safety skills.

At Kiddies Aqua Swimming Academy, our mission extends far beyond teaching children how to swim. Every day, we work to equip babies, toddlers, children and adults with the confidence, skills and knowledge to become safer in and around water.

On this World Drowning Prevention Day, we encourage every parent and caregiver to remember these simple but life-saving rules:

👉 Never leave a child unattended in or near water – not even for a few seconds.
👉 Designate a responsible adult as the dedicated “Water Watcher” whenever children are swimming.
👉 Enrol children in quality swimming and water safety lessons from an early age.
👉 Ensure pools are securely fenced and access is controlled.
👉 Learn CPR – your actions could save a life while waiting for emergency services.

A child who can swim is never drown-proof, which is why constant adult supervision remains essential at all times.
