We are incredibly proud of our 21 young scientists who represented Irene Primary School at the Eskom Expo for Young Scientists – Regional Science Fair,held on 7–8 August 2026 at Tshwane University of Technology. ⚡🧪🔬

And what an incredible achievement they brought home! 🌟

That is an outstanding 19 medals from 21 participating learners!👏🏽🎉

To make this achievement even more special, Irene Primary was once again awarded the prestigious BEACON OF DISCOVERY AWARD🌟🏆

We are immensely proud of our learners for their curiosity, creativity, innovation, commitment and passion for Science.They represented our school with excellence and reminded us that great things happen when young minds are encouraged to ask questions, explore and discover. 💡🔬

A huge congratulations to all 21 learners, and a heartfelt thank you to our dedicated teachers and everyone who supported them throughout their Science Expo journey.

Today, we would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Irene Village Farm for their generous Mandela Day donation to Irene Primary School.

On 21st July, the Irene Village Farm team visited our school and generously donated items that will make a meaningful difference in the lives of many of our learners. Their contribution will especially support our Sandwich Angels initiative, helping us provide nutritious meals to learners in need.
