HomeyBee is seeking an experienced, reliable, and engaging person to join our team and manage a second Hive in Cathcart. In this position, you will work with homeschool students varying in grades from 1-10, to provide a tailored educational experience that meets each student’s unique learning goals.

Must be able to teach in a multigrade environment.

Essential Functions / Goals

• Plan, prepare and teach weekly lesson plans that meet the educational needs and abilities of a group of students
• Utilize a wide variety of teaching methods to create differentiated learning opportunities
• Help homeschooling families and students achieve their educational goals
• Provide a classroom experience that is encouraging, and positive
• Communicate well with students, personnel, and parents
• Responsive and able to adapt quickly in the classroom
• Provide clear weekly email communication to students and their families
• Proficient in written and spoken English
• Use a range of IT tools to accomplish tasks

Qualifications / Competencies

• At least 5 years of teaching experience.
• Excellent organization and communication skills with attention to details
• Adaptable
• Analyzes complex situations
• Manages the use of resources
• Understands and uses formal organizational structures and processes
• Fosters teamwork

Experience Level

Prefer 5 years of teaching experience working with students of varying ages and abilities.
LSEN training/experience will be a benefit.

The regatta is a day away, and the weatherman is predicting 33 degrees, remember to pack your sunscreen!

It’s January and the heat and temperature is enough to make you want to bunk school and spend the morning in the water! So why don’t we do exactly that on Friday 31 January. Keep an eye out for details.
