🌟 CAREER DAY AT SIR LOWRY’S PASS LIBRARY! 👩🏽‍⚕️👮🏽‍♂️👩🏽‍🏫⚖️📚

This morning, Sir Lowry’s Pass Library welcomed our wonderful Grade R learners from Sir Lowry’s Pass Primary School for a fun and inspiring Career Day! 🎓✨

Our young patrons arrived dressed as what they dream of becoming when they grow up. The library was filled with little doctors, police officers, nurses, teachers, lawyers and librarians—and so many big dreams! 💙

Through interactive stories about different careers, our learners had the opportunity to learn, share why they chose their dream careers and imagine the possibilities that lie ahead. 🌈📖

Afterwards, the fun continued with our educational toys, giving the learners an opportunity to play, explore and learn together. 🧩🧸

It was beautiful to see their confidence, excitement and imagination shine. Today’s little dreamers are tomorrow’s professionals! 🌟

Today, Anele visited Lathi-thha Daycare, where he shared an interactive story with our little patrons. After the story, the children identified the colours and shapes they found in the book, making the session both fun and educational.

To end the session, everyone enjoyed singing rhymes together, leaving the little ones smiling and engaged. 📚🎨🎶.

One of our loyal patrons Zubenathi returned home to Sir Lowry's Pass Library after completing his initiation journey. He came back to share this special milestone with his library family, and we feel truly honoured to have been part of his journey.

Before leaving, he spent time preparing at our library using the resources available on isiXhosa culture and traditions. Seeing him return to share his experience reminds us why libraries are so much more than buildings filled with books.

Our library is a place of learning, belonging, and community—a place where many journeys begin and where everyone has a place to call home.

The children listened with excitement, shared their ideas, and enjoyed exploring the wonders of the night sky through stories and conversation. It was a wonderful afternoon of learning, imagination, and discovery!

Nicholas shared interactive stories with our young patrons, creating a fun and engaging reading experience. The children thoroughly enjoyed the stories and happily sang along to a few rhymes, filling the library with smiles and laughter.
