🐚 Little Hands, Big Imagination 🌸

Sometimes the simplest activities create the biggest adventures! 💕 Our little Giggles friends are busy creating, scooping, mixing and imagining together in the sand.

From pretend cooking to exploring textures and sharing ideas, sand play is a wonderful way to build fine motor skills, creativity, language and social skills, all while having lots of fun! 🥰

💦 Giggles of the Week 💦

This week’s Giggles came with a little misty magic! ☀️🌿

On a warm day, our fine mist hose became the perfect way to cool everyone down while enjoying some barefoot outdoor fun. There were plenty of smiles, cool toes and lots of happy little bodies running through the gentle spray! 💦

Sometimes the simplest things make the best memories. ❤️

🌿Finding our balance! 💜

There’s something so special about watching little bodies learn what they can do. Climbing, swinging, balancing and exploring movement all help children build strength, coordination, confidence and body awareness.

Sometimes the best learning happens when we simply let them move, try and discover. ✨

☀️ Learning to Look After Ourselves ☀️

Little acts of independence are a big part of growing up! 💛

Here we have one of our Giggles friends putting on his own sunscreen before heading outside. He is learning to take responsibility for his own body and wellbeing, while developing those important practical life skills along the way. 🌿

We encourage children to do as much as they can for themselves, with support when they need it. From applying sunscreen to putting on their shoes, these everyday moments build confidence, independence and a wonderful sense of “I can do it!” 🌟

✨ Building, creating and problem-solving! ✨

There’s something so special about watching children completely immerse themselves in their own ideas. 💕 Today we had some serious construction happening, with lots of experimenting, connecting, balancing and figuring out how all the pieces could come together.

Open-ended building allows children to use their imagination while developing fine-motor skills, spatial awareness, concentration and problem-solving skills — all while having fun! 🧠🏗️

At Giggles Preschool, we love giving children the time and space to explore their ideas and see where their creativity takes them. 🌈💛

Children learn how to communicate by watching the adults around them. 🌸 A little splash of colour at Giggles! 🌸

We love watching our garden change with the seasons, and these beautiful purple flowers are certainly putting on a show! 🌿💜

Our outdoor spaces give the children so many opportunities to notice the little things in nature, explore different textures and colours, and simply enjoy being outside.

There’s always something growing, blooming or buzzing at Giggles! 🌱✨

🦋🌿 Giggles of the Week: Garden Acraea Cocoons! 🌿🦋

We’ve discovered some very special little visitors in our garden… Garden Acraea butterfly cocoons! 👀

The children have been fascinated watching these tiny treasures develop and learning that butterflies go through an amazing life cycle. From caterpillar, to cocoon, to beautiful butterfly, there is so much to discover right here in our own garden!

Nature gives us some of the best learning opportunities. 💜🌱
