Mamma Mia…here we go again! 🕺✨

We’re so excited to see our very own Duane Alexander ‘s sensational choreography come to life on stage tonight, alongside some of our incredible LAMTA graduates. The whole LAMTA family is at the theatre cheering them all on, such a proud moment for our Academy. 🥹

Here’s to all that ABBA magic! 🌊💙💃

Raw physicality. Total commitment. No safety net. 🎭💥
Term 3 and our LAMTA 3rd years have just tackled Steven Berkoff and Dario Fo, two styles that show zero mercy. Berkoff strips away realism completely, no naturalism to hide behind, just the body, explosive use of voice, exaggerated gesture, and raw physical expression. Fo works out of commedia dell’arte, slapstick and clowning used as political weapons, farce with real teeth. Both demand total commitment. Half-hearted doesn’t survive on stage.

Voulez-Vous! 🕺✨ The island is officially opened, and LAMTA graduate Bradley Smith Brad Smith brings unmatched energy to the Mamma Mia! ensemble!
Ensemble powerhouses make the show happen, and seeing Bradley light up that stage was incredible. Huge congratulations on a brilliant opening! 🎶🌴

Unearthing the dark, fractured heart of the American dream. 🏚️🔥
Our 2nd-year students dove deep into the brutal, legendary world of Sam Shepard for their 3rd term acting exam. Exploring themes of generational trauma, toxic family legacies, obsession, and the haunting ghosts of the past, they tackled some of Shepard’s most iconic texts with raw intensity:

👉 Buried Child
👉 Fool for Love
👉 A Lie of the Mind
