De Grendel School of Skills

De Grendel School of Skills Our school is a School of Skills with a wide variety of workshops. This page allows us to boast about our top achievers and advertise various aspects.

Our school, De Grendel, is attempting to become more modern regarding our social networking. This page simply serves to allow people to recognise the work done by both the learners as well as the dedicated staff. Posts will be done as regularly as we deem necessary, without becoming a bore or irritation to those people who like us!

The Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment recently launched a project to plant 10 million trees in a single day. This took place on 22 September 2026, and the learners of De Grendel School of Skills were involved as well! We planted five tall, healthy trees next to Huis Leeukop. The hostel children will especially enjoy the two apricot trees in a year or two!

Thank you Mr Viljoen and the Prefects for this great initiative! Can wait for those home grown apricots!
