❤️ Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus ❤️
Today the Church celebrates the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, a beautiful reminder of Christ's boundless love, mercy, compassion, and faithfulness towards all people.
The Sacred Heart symbolizes the very heart of Jesus — a heart that loves unconditionally, forgives endlessly, and calls each of us into a deeper relationship with Him. In a world often marked by division and uncertainty, the Sacred Heart reminds us that love, mercy, and hope remain at the centre of our Christian calling.
As Catholic schools, we are invited to reflect this love in our classrooms, playgrounds, staffrooms, and communities by caring for one another, serving those in need, and helping every young person encounter the love of Christ.
On this special feast day, we extend our warmest wishes to Sacred Heart Primary School. May your school community continue to be a living witness to the compassionate and loving heart of Jesus, inspiring all who pass through your gates.
Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us. ❤️

Today we celebrate the Solemnity of Corpus Christi – the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ.
This feast reminds us of the greatest gift Jesus left His Church: the Holy Eucharist. In every Mass, Christ gives Himself to us, nourishing us with His love and strengthening us to be His presence in the world.
As Catholic schools, may we continue to foster in our learners a deep love for the Eucharist, where we encounter Christ truly present and are sent forth to serve others with compassion, faith, and hope.
"Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me and I in them." – John 6:56

The safeguarding and wellbeing of every child and vulnerable person entrusted to our care remains a fundamental priority in our Catholic schools. Creating safe, nurturing, and Christ-centred environments is not simply a policy requirement—it is an expression of our Catholic ethos and our commitment to upholding the dignity of every person.
This week, we were privileged to welcome Haley Walker once again to facilitate workshops for our Designated Child Safeguarding Officers. The first session was held in George for representatives from our Southern Cape schools, followed by a workshop in Rondebosch for our Cape Town-based schools.
These gatherings provided an important opportunity for ongoing formation, reflection, and collaboration as we continue to strengthen safeguarding practices across our school communities.
A sincere word of thanks to Haley for her continued guidance, generosity, and passion in sharing her expertise. We are deeply grateful for her commitment to this vital ministry. Thank you also to all our Designated Child Safeguarding Officers who attended and represented their schools so faithfully, ensuring that the protection, care, and dignity of every person remain at the heart of Catholic education.

🔥 Come, Holy Spirit! 🕊️
Today, on Pentecost Sunday, we celebrate the outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon the Church — a Spirit of courage, wisdom, unity, and love.
May our Catholic schools continue to be places where hearts are set ablaze with faith, where young people encounter Christ, and where communities are inspired to live the Gospel boldly.
As the disciples were sent forth filled with the Holy Spirit, may we too be renewed and empowered to be witnesses of hope and peace in our schools, homes, and communities.
“Receive the Holy Spirit.” – John 20:22

Today we celebrate the glorious Feast of the Ascension — a reminder that Christ not only rose from the dead, but ascended into Heaven, opening the way for us to share in His eternal life.
As Jesus returned to the Father, He entrusted His mission to His disciples — and to us. May we continue to be people of hope, faith, compassion, and courage in our schools, communities, and daily lives.
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations…” – Matthew 28:19
May the Ascension remind us that while Christ ascended into Heaven, He remains present with us always. ✨

Today, the Church celebrates the Feast of Our Lady of Fatima, commemorating the apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary to three shepherd children — Lucia, Francisco and Jacinta — in Fatima, Portugal in 1917.
Our Lady’s message was one of prayer, repentance, peace and trust in God. She encouraged the faithful to pray the Rosary and to live lives rooted in faith and conversion.
May Our Lady of Fatima continue to guide our schools, families and communities closer to Christ through faith, hope and love. 🤍

We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to host educators from across our Catholic schools in Cape Town at our Wellness Retreat at Christian Brothers' Centre in Stellenbosch.
Centered on holistic wellness, the retreat explored social, physical, financial, mental and spiritual wellbeing through inspiring guest speakers, meaningful conversations and engaging activities. It provided a valuable opportunity for teachers to step away from the demands of the classroom, focus on personal growth, and reconnect within a supportive and uplifting community.
Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to making the retreat such a meaningful and memorable experience. 💙

HAPPY EASTER!
“He is not here; He has risen.” (Luke 24:6)
The empty tomb reminds us that darkness does not have the final word. In every challenge, every moment of doubt, and every season of waiting, Christ’s resurrection brings hope, renewal, and new life.
As Catholic school communities, may we be people of the Resurrection — choosing light over darkness, hope over fear, and love above all.
Let this Easter be a reminder that with Christ, new beginnings are always possible.
