There are times when memories can bring a tear to your eye. We hope these memories made during our Special Person's Tea will live long in the hearts of both the servers and the receivers. Such a special time in our school calendar.

Just like the bee..."Never underestimate the power of small things.
A tiny action, a kind word, or a single decision can create ripples far greater than we imagine.

Many people hold back because they believe they are not important enough to matter.
But change has never depended on size... it depends on intention and consistency.

History, relationships, and even daily life are shaped by small moments repeated over time.

So do what you can, where you are, with what you have.
Even the smallest presence can make a lasting difference."

This week in the classroom...... Continuing on our African journey, the children made homemade bread and learned about the amazing Baobab Tree. Many of them tasted the Baobab fruit (also known as "Monkey Bread"). Baobab fruit is high in vitamin C, it tastes like a vitamin C tablet. It can be eaten, used as a medicine, and is a natural food source for animals such as monkeys, elephants and rodents. There are many African legends about the Baobab Tree, but most of them mention that the tree was taken out of the ground by an African god and re-planted upside down, which is why its branches look like roots.

Last week in our pre school class, we learnt about the countries of Botswana and Zimbabwe. We explored the Victoria falls and Bains Baobabs and made a popular Botswanan dish called Morogo, which is spinach, tomato, onion and garlic. Many of our children tried it and loved it!
