Especially during this time of lockdown...take the time to actually be present in your child's life. This is so important as they need that connection and they need that routine, more so now in this time of confusion and uncertainty.
Yes, I might not be a parent, but working in the teaching sector, I know how important it is to kneel down to a child's level and give them that much needed time they need to explain their emotions whether happy or sad and to share in memorable moments... Remember no matter how you are feeling in that moment, you are the adult who they look up to for comfort, guidence and support!
During this lockdown period, many parents have to work from home... But don't do your child a disservice by ignoring them completely or by not providing them with the tools they need to continue learning while the schools are closed. You are not helping your child, as learning essentially begins in the home. After all, your child is a blessing. So step up and be a parent that is PRESENT!! Your child will forever be grateful to you for that π€
Make the most of this time with your loved ones and see it as a blessing. Be safe please everyone π
