✨Our USA family clients are going to be staying in Noordhoek whilst they decide where to stay long term somewhere between Noordhoek and the Constantia and surrounding area.

✨They seeking are seeking an educated au pair to work full time from 10an to 7pm caring for their 2 boys - a 2 year and his baby brother of 6mnths.

✨They seek an au pair who:
• is a wonderful long-term match for their family re personality, childcare experience, values and approach to raising 2 boys.
• could start in October to work with them through to mid-December ( short term (trial) then ideally start their official full-time role beginning in January.)
• is highly experienced with this age group, proactive and structured with plans for the day re outings and activities etc.
• engages actively with both boys
• is comfortable managing the different needs of a toddler and an infant.
• Is flexible within reason as the job detail could change a bit as the 2-year-old may go to play-school.

🕒 TIMES: Mondays to Fridays from 10am to 7pm.

✨JOB DESCRIPTION:
• Currently the plan would be to arrive at 10am (Mom will work from home) have a catch up with Mom and settle in , then follow the routines already in place as is set out below:
• When possible take the boys on an outing in the area for a walk around or to a playground/ beach/ library/ or in future a playgroup or other child-friendly activity.
• Give the 2 yr old his snack & the 6mnth old his bottle as needed.
• Then from 12:00–1:00pm its about lunch & wind down. So the au pair will prepare and give the 2yr old his lunch and feed the baby his food & bottle etc
• Then it’s time for diaper changes and quiet play/books before naps
• From 1:00–3:00pm it is nap / quiet time. 2yr old will take his afternoon nap and the baby will do so according to his schedule.
• If there is overlapping nap time – the au pair will tidy play areas, wash bottles/dishes, prep snacks or meals, and organize the boys’ things
• Then at 3:00–5:30pm it time for general afternoon play and giving the 2yr old a snack and bottle/feeding the 6month old.
• Play outdoors when possible in the garden/backyard, or go for a walk or another outing etc
• If at home play, books, music, sensory play and activities appropriate for each boy’s age.
• Between 5:30 to 7pm is dinner and wind-down time.
• This will involve preparing and serving dinner to the 2yr old and preparing & feeding the 6month old his next meal
• Then it is bath and wind-down time - diapers, pyjama’s and getting ready for the evening
• Also quiet play and reading books.
• Mom and Dad will slip in along the way to assist the au pair with the nightly routine.
• The au pair will then tidy children’s spaces, bottles/dishes and anything used during the day before finishing off and going home

📅 START DATE: 19 October to Mid December 2026. Then official start in January 2027

💰 MONTHLY SALARY: R23,000 to R25,000 based on experience etc, plus petrol .50 km when using your car for the family.

✨Our Hout Bay family clients are seeking an educated au pair for their 2 children of 12yrs and 9yrs.

✨They seek an au pair who is:
• warm, loving, consistent and able to meet each child where they are in their day.
• Open-minded, patient and kind as the 12yr old has high functioning autism and adhd and the 9yr old has adhd – both of them are on medication and do not require any special care., however it is important that the au pair builds the right kind of trusting relationship with them individually.
🕒 TIMES: Mondays to Fridays from 1.30pm to 6pm with extra hours during the school holidays for extra pay.

✨JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Collect each child from their respective school within the area.
• Take them home.
• Prepare snacks if they are hungry
• Assist with homework (mostly with younger child) as older child is quite self sufficient
• Taking them to activities and sports
• Supervise and engage with them until parents return from work.
• Possibly do some prep for the family dinner or the children’s lunch boxes
• Ensure that they organise their bags and things for the next day of school and extra murals
• During school holidays have fun at home or arrange play-dates and various outings etc

📅 START DATE: 12 October to mid December 2026 THEN January 2027 for the year

💰 MONTHLY SALARY: R11,700 to R12,000 plus petrol .50 km when using your car for the family. Extra pay for the extra hours during school holidays.
