TO ALL THE ECD OWNERS STRESSING ABOUT TEACHERS... LET ME TELL YOU THIS. 💭

I hear most Principals are stressing about teachers. "I wish I had the best teachers, I wish I had qualified teachers..."

But let me tell you this chomi, as a Principal who has been doing this for years:

Sometimes you just need to learn to work with what you have.

You will NEVER get perfect teachers. Never.

What I learned at Siyanda is:

1. Understand their STRENGTHS and WEAKNESSES.
One teacher is good at art but not good with paperwork. Another is amazing with babies but struggles with parents. Put them where they SHINE!

2. Appreciate what they DO.
We are so quick to shout when they do wrong, but when last did you say "Thank you for coming early today"? Appreciation goes a long way!

3. Help them work on their WEAKNESSES, don't just complain.
If she struggles with the daily program, sit with her and teach her. Train them. You are a leader, not just a boss.

And MOST IMPORTANTLY:

When you hire, don't just hire QUALIFICATION. Hire CHARACTER.

Hire someone who is:
✅ RESPECTFUL
✅ PATIENT
✅ LOVING
✅ CARING

Skills I can teach. But respect? Patience? Love for children? You can't teach that!

That is what gives you PEACE OF MIND as a Principal. Knowing even when you are not there, your children are safe.

Stop looking for perfect teachers. Build your teachers! 🌱

UNIFORM IS NOT JUST CLOTHES. IT'S DIGNITY. 💙

One of the things I mentioned on my Radio Interview with Umhlobo Wenene is the importance of having uniform in our schools.

Some people think "Ah, it's just ECD, they are still small"...

No. Uniform creates:

1. ONENESS - When we all wear Siyanda blue, we are one family. No one is better than the other.

2. DIGNITY - Our children look clean, smart and ready to learn. They feel proud! Even us as teachers, when we put on our uniform we say "I am a professional!"

3. EQUALITY - No child feels small because their clothes are old. In uniform, we are all equal. All our children are Siyanda children!

That is why at Siyanda Educare Centre we take our uniform SERIOUSLY! From the learners to the teachers to ME! 😍

MY TEACHERS ARE THE WORLD! 🌍💙🥹

I didn't even ask. I was just sent pictures and was like 🥹🥹💞💞💞oh maan

Voluntarily washing our mat outside, barefoot in the sun, just because they want our school to be clean and beautiful for our children on Monday.

No extra pay. No one forced them. Just LOVE for Siyanda Educare Centre.

This is not just a job to them. This is their second home. 💞

My Teachers in our summer blue hats . From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU! Siyanda would not be Siyanda without you!

I am so blessed to have you! God knew what He was doing when He gave me you! 🙏

Parents, this is the kind of teachers who are looking after your children. Teachers who like a clean space .They make my Leadership shop easy 🙏💞
