Lulwazi Lwethu today had a very successful Skills Expo at our school for school learners and broader youth from the Delft and surrounding communities. Our National Minister of Social Development, Minister Lindiwe Zulu in her follow up visit to the Delft Community, was the keynote speaker and also attended the youth roadtable dialogue engaging our youth on important challenges the youth is facing and and support that is available to find solutions. The youth as agents of change and making the right choices is paramount. Exhibitors supported our learners and youth ensuring developing skills and opportunities for Higher education post matric. Thank you to our community stakeholders from the youth volunteers to the senior club members for your support in ensuring the success of the event. May we continue to mold, support and invest in the future leaders of tomorrow. It is all of our responsibility to support our youth.

Today Friday 2 April 2021, Impact Africa features our resilient leader & Principal of Rosendaal High School based in Delft, Cape town, South Africa.

Ms Layman grew up in Elsies River, attended & matriculated from Elswood High School. She completed her BA, HDE and BEd at University of Western Cape. She initially taught at Rosendal Primary School for 4 years, then moved to High School. She was seconded to the National Department of Social Development as Head of office (Director) of Office Ministry for seven years. When her secondment ended, she returned to the education sector – Rosendaal High School.

Ms Layman started community activism from the young age of twelve years. She believes in the holistic development of a child and strongly committed to excellent and quality education of all learners. She is extremely passionate about education and one of her favourite quote is β€˜a child in sport is a child out of court’.

Impact Africa is an online talk show by Bold Moves where we have conversations with diverse people, organisations & businesses who are impacting or have impacted lives & communities positively.

Impact Africa is hosted by Mama K (Mrs Kemi Akiyode-Adebayo), Ann Juries-May, BlackQueen Afrika, King Dee (David Chigori) and other dynamic hosts.

Impact Africa provides a unique platform to recognise, celebrate, interact, inspire, promote, network, exchange ideas and mainly to positively β€˜share our stories’ of Africa and the beautiful people of Africa.

Please watch, like, comment, share and support us and the diverse communities we serve. We humbly welcome sponsorship, adverts and donations to help continue our work with grassroot communities, young people and women.

Thank you & God bless.

We as colleagues, parents, ex-learners of the Rosendaal high school family and Delft community leaders showed our support, care and love to the Family of our dear late colleague Mr. David Adams. Thank you to the family who have shared him with us as a school community for so many years, Rosendaal HS was his life and he served with so much passion and commitment. We showed our respect by honoring his legacy he left in education, sports and his overall contribution to develop our learners holistically to their full potential. Mr Adams made a difference in the lives of so many people in different spheres of our communities which he so richly blessed and touched in so many special ways. We grant and wish you the eternal rest and peace in our Lord Jesus Christ...the Benefactor and Author of our lives who also richly dwells in us....hambe kahle our colleague, teacher, mentor, activist, friend...Rest in eternal peace.
