Last week I had the privilege of visiting a new local organic farm in my area, Grow Wild Organics! It’s such a treat to find such incredibly nutritious veggies that are locally grown AND organic and available right here on my doorstep.

Choosing to eat organic, as much as you can is one of the key factors to a healthy body and mind.

“Here are some benefits of eating organic food:

Nutrient Density: Organic produce tends to have higher nutrient levels, providing our bodies with essential vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants crucial for gut function.

Microbiome Support: Locally grown foods are often fresher and retain more of their natural microbiome. These beneficial microbes play a key role in maintaining a healthy gut, aiding digestion, and supporting our immune system.

Reduced Chemical Exposure: Organic farming practices eliminate synthetic pesticides and fertilizers, reducing our exposure to potentially harmful chemicals that can disrupt the delicate balance of our gut flora.

Preservation of Soil Health: Local, organic farming methods prioritise soil health, fostering a rich microbial environment. Healthy soil contributes to the food's nutritional quality, positively impacting our gut health.

Sustainability: Supporting local, organic agriculture promotes a sustainable food system, reducing the environmental impact.”
