Hygiene slip-ups cost Cape Town venues daily.

Are your staff missing the basics? A spotless restaurant starts with simple, proven habits: no fancy tech or big budgets needed.

Here’s your 5-step Hygiene Quick Wins checklist:

1. Sanitise all high-touch surfaces every 2 hours
2. Wash hands: after tasks, atleast every hour
3. Use colour-coded cloths for different areas
4. Check fridge and freezer temps at each shift change
5. Pin this list where staff clock in (and check it off!)

What sets a great hospitality team apart?

Knowing what to do and applying that knowledge.

At HirePro, our trainers are active industry professionals, managers and chefs who’ve led teams, solved real challenges, and know exactly what local venues demand.

Every course is built on practical drills, service standards, and the kind of hands-on learning that turns theory into confidence. We believe in small cohorts, personal feedback, and certifiable results.

What’s trending in Cape Town hospitality training?

Every week, we scan leading hospitality pages for fresh ideas: this week, the buzz is all about ‘service recovery scripts’ that turn mistakes into memorable guest moments. Here’s how you can adapt this trend in your venue:

1. Identify the most common guest complaints.
2. Create simple, step-by-step scripts for your team to follow.
3. Role-play these scenarios in small groups to build confidence.
4. Review and adjust scripts based on real feedback.
5. Celebrate team wins when issues are resolved well.

Master the sauce station in minutes today.

Ever wondered how top Cape Town kitchens keep their sauce stations running smooth, even on the busiest nights? The secret is in a simple setup, and a few pro habits. Here’s how our trainees do it at HirePro:

1. Set up your mise en place before service.
2. Label and date every sauce, every time.
3. Keep your ladles and spoons on ice water, not in the sauce.
4. Wipe down between every use, no exceptions.
5. Double-check temperatures before each shift change.

Want to see this in action? Book a free visit to our Parow centre and watch a live demo. Your team can level up in just one session.
