Raised in Khayelitsha, Dr Vuyane Mhlomi now has a PhD from Oxford Uni Vuyane Mhlomi grew up in a township, and never stopped believing that he could achieve anything. The former Khayelitsha resident has taken Oxford by storm.

Isilimela students have done it again. This time the echo club of the school collected not less than 6 trophies, including the shield for the best production during the inter school echo clubs competition held last friday

Our school has lost yet another ex student, Vuyolwethu Majangaza, who matriculated a couple of years ago. May his soul rest in peace

Mandela's Robben Island prison cell brought to our school during a powerful presentation by one of the Island ex prisoners, about the struggle Madiba was engaged in, to bring us to where we are, as a country.

One of our ex student Aphelele Vellem a twin, was gunned down over the weekend. A memorial service is planned for this coming Wednesday in Langa. I will give more details as soon as I get them. Sorry I do not have his photo. Anyone who has his photo is free to post it on this FB page.

Mr Americo de Almeida's memorial service will be held at Astra school for the handicapped; Palloti Street Montana on Thursday 28th Jan 2016 @ 16h00(4pm)

It with great sadness to announce the passing on this morning of one of our beloved ex educator, Mr Americo de Almeida. Mr de Almeida was retired last year after serving our school since 1992 as a head of the Maths and Science department. Rest in peace Manu Bailundi
