SAIBC 2026! That's a wrap on an exhausting, but rewarding few days. Congratulations to our 6 beautiful JPSB students who all performed so incredibly well this week. Special congratulations to Lucy Mackay who went through to finals in the scholar division, and to Alexia and Dane' Olivier who went through to the junior final round.
We are thrilled to announce that Baylen Boer was awarded the Siver medal in the Senior ladies division for her contemporary solo ( choreographed by Yarisha Singh ) and that Alexia Olivier and Baylen Boer were awarded 1st place for their Senior Classical Duet (choreographed by Jacqui Pells ) Baylen🇿🇦 Yarisha Alexia Olivier Dané Tracey Aaron Lucy MacKay

It's quite hard to put into words how you feel as a teacher and coach when you see it all come together after months and months of hard work. It takes exceptional grit and sacrifice to perform at this level and it is just the most rewarding aspect of this job, to see students grow, push beyond what they thought they could achieve, and reach their full potential. Thank you to the amazing colleagues who I have the privilege of working alongside, it truly takes a village - Tracey Aaron, Yarisha Singh, Tracy Li, Clare Le Clezio.Parents who trust and partner with you in this journey are key - we see your sacrifices , thank you 🙏

JPSB is so proud of our two.senior students Alexia Olivier and Baylen🇿🇦, who had the exciting opportunity, and tremendous privilege, of performing with Cape Town City Ballet this past weekend for the performance of Swan Lake Act 2 in Stellenbosch. They have loved every moment and are now looking forward to a busy week ahead as they take part in the 13th annual SA IBC at Artscape this week. ❤️ Saretha Janse van Rensburg Tracy Li

Senior JPSB student Sabina Sparg having the best time Valencia Endanza | ENDZ summer school, taking up her scholarship prize that she was awarded YGP EUROPE Barcelona in December last year. What an opportunity to take classes with outstanding international faculty and to meet and make friends with other young dancers from all over the world. 💛
What a special bunch of students this was and they really had each other's backs - they are still friends today. Four of this group went on to dance professionally , Dina, and .mani is studying theatre in London and pursuing his dream of becoming an actor, and ._.lindup went on to study jewelery design at Stellenbosch. All outstanding artists and creatives in their own right and most importantly, beautiful human beings. Love them all 💕
