A little rain never stopped a great History lesson — and our Grade 11 learners proved it in the best possible way! 🌧️📚✨

Last week our Grade 11 History learners made a trip to Paarl to visit the Taal Museum and Monument — and it was an experience that went so much deeper than any textbook page ever could. 💪🌟

With their upcoming essay on Afrikaner Nationalism on the horizon, this visit gave our learners the incredible opportunity to walk through history, see it, feel it, and gather the kind of rich, meaningful content that makes for truly great exam writing. 🧠💪

The weather had other ideas — but our Grade 11s? They had absolutely none of it. Spirits were high, curiosity was higher, and the enthusiasm for learning from the actual place where history happened was completely infectious from start to finish. 😄💛

This is History education at its most powerful — and we cannot wait to see how this experience shows up in their essays. 📜🔥

Our Creative Movement dancers performed for the Primary School today — and the reaction they got was something truly incredible. From the very first move, every single learner in that audience was completely captivated, and by the end? The cheering brought the walls down. 🎉💪

Watching our dancers perform in front of their school community is one of those moments that reminds you of the power of the arts. It is not just movement — it is expression, confidence, storytelling, and pure joy translated into something you cannot take your eyes off. 🌟💛

Our Creative Movement dancers have worked hard, rehearsed tirelessly, and today they stepped into the spotlight and owned every single second of it. The smiles on their faces as the cheering rang out told us everything we needed to know. 🥹❤️

Our very own Wilmadi Bester, Co-Curricular Coordinator at Core Education, is a member of Softball South Africa — and last November, they won the Africa World Cup Championship in Nairobi, Kenya 🇰🇪 — and in doing so, they secured South Africa's place at the Softball World Cup Championship in Oklahoma City, United States of America 🇺🇸 from 12 to 16 September 2026!

And Wilmadi has been selected as part of the national team to go. 🇿🇦💛
She pours herself into our learners and this school every single day — and then she goes out and represents our entire country on the world stage. The dedication, the discipline, the passion it takes to compete at this level while being the incredible professional she is here at Core — we are honestly in awe. 🙏💪

Today our school became a living, breathing celebration of culture, heritage, and identity — and it was one of the most beautiful things we have ever seen. 🌍❤️

In honour of Ancestors Day, our learners and staff came dressed in the most stunning cultural attire — proudly representing their heritage, their roots, and the generations that came before them. Every colour, every fabric, every bead and every pattern told a story. And today, our school was full of stories worth telling. 💫✨

South Africa is one of the most beautifully diverse nations on earth — and days like today remind us of the extraordinary richness that lives right here within our own school community. Different backgrounds, different traditions, different cultures — all celebrated together, side by side, with pride and joy. 🇿🇦💛

Ancestors Day is a reminder that we do not exist in isolation. We are the sum of every person who came before us — their strength, their sacrifice, their love — and honouring them is one of the most meaningful things we can do. 🙏

Detectives. Archaeologists. Historians. Our Grade 10 History students are currently being ALL of these things at once — and it is absolutely incredible to watch. 🔍🗺️✨

Right now our Grade 10s are deep in an investigation into how people lived in South Africa before 1750 — and their teacher didn't just hand them a textbook and wish them luck. Oh no. They got a MAP to trace material culture from real archaeological finds, and then — wait for it — they got to open a MYSTERY BOX of evidence from that era. 📦😱

Using the objects and sources inside, they carefully categorised everything they found into social, economic, political, and trade evidence — piecing together the story of a world that existed centuries before any of us were born. 🌍💛

This is what History class looks like when it comes alive. Not dates on a chalkboard — but real, hands-on, minds-on investigative learning that has our learners thinking critically, asking questions, and discovering answers for themselves. 🖤💡

Investigative learning at its absolute finest. We could not be prouder! 🎓🔥
