Devonbosch Mountain Biking | Saturday, 14 March
Our mountain biking team took on their first race of the year at Devonbosch as part of the Western Cape Schools Cycling League.
It was a fantastic day out on the trails, and not a single rider crossed the finish line without a smile!
A special mention goes to Ties Kuulkers, who finished 5th overall in the U/9 age group.
Well done to all the riders that represented our school and look forward to the races ahead this season.

This term’s 9–12 Phase Inning brought civil engineering to life. After an inspiring talk from engineer Jessica Burns about iconic bridges and structural design, students put their thinking caps on and built their own popsicle-stick bridges. Safe to say we may have a few future engineers in the making!

Fascinating biology really is right at our fingertips! Our Stage 4s took a closer look at how the musculoskeletal system works today. By building simple hand models using foam hands, straws, and string, they were able to see how tendons pull on the fingers to create movement. One small tug on a “tendon” and the finger bends - a clever reminder of how beautifully our bodies are designed.
The Inter-Campus Athletics Day on February 28th was nothing short of extraordinary. Our athletes from Hermanus, Imhoff, Sunningdale, Sandown, and Somerset West left everything on the track, showcasing the incredible talent within our schools.
Each campus brought the heat and showed relentless effort. We couldn’t be prouder of the grit and sportsmanship on display.
Our Somerset West campus was proud to host students from Imhoff, Sandown, and Hermanus for a collaborative Career Day. It was a fantastic opportunity for our visiting peers to join our local students in exploring future study paths together.
