If you have a child, a younger sibling, or a mentee deciding where to study next year, give them ten minutes of your attention for this.
Most people researching study abroad hit the same wall. The websites tell you the programmes and the tuition. They do not tell you what a room costs, how long the visa takes, whether anyone meets the student at the airport, or what happens to that young person after they graduate.
We are hosting one hour with the University of Technology, Mauritius, a Hues Apply AI partner institution, and every one of those questions is on the agenda. Entry requirements, the document checklist, deadlines, scholarships and who qualifies for them, the visa process step by step, orientation, health insurance, and career outcomes for international graduates.
A current student is also speaking about daily life, unscripted.
English is the official language in Mauritius, so the teaching is in English. UTM has students from 69 countries.

We Are Underway!
Yesterday, we officially kicked off Cohort 3 of the AI for Academic & Career Pathways Program, bringing together ambitious participants from across Africa for a transformative journey into scholarships, fellowships, internships, jobs, and global opportunities.
The energy, engagement, and enthusiasm during our first session were truly inspiring. Together, we explored The Opportunity Mindset and discovered how AI can help uncover opportunities that many people never see.
The journey continues tonight!
Day 2: Understanding Your Competitive Advantage
Discover what makes you stand out and learn how to position yourself as a stronger candidate for academic and career opportunities.
If you're part of Cohort 3, come ready to learn, engage, and take another step toward your goals.

You did the work. You got the degree. So why is the next step so hard to find?
If that question hits home, our free AI for Academic & Career Pathways program was built for you.
When we asked our last cohort what they were struggling with, the answers were the same across eight countries: I don't know what career to pursue. I want scholarships, but don't know how to apply.
My CV isn't competitive. I struggle with essays. I lack confidence in interviews.
Every one of those is fixable, with the right guidance.
Over this free, live program, you'll learn to find opportunities that fit you, build a CV and essays that actually compete, and prepare for interviews with confidence. And you'll submit three real applications before the cohort ends.
Cohort 3 registration is now open.
Live online, 7:00–8:30 PM GMT. 100% free.

Two graduates. Same university. Same degree. Same grades.
Five years later, one is thriving and leading others. The other is still knocking on doors.
The difference between them wasn't talent or luck. One of them had a mentor — someone who had already walked the road they were just beginning, and could say, "not that way, this way."
We see it again and again: the transition from education to a meaningful career is rarely a straight line. Beyond opportunities, young people need guidance from people who have done the work.
That's exactly why we built the Mentorship feature on Hues Apply.
If you are a professional, an academician, or a lecturer, we're inviting you to give back in a way that truly matters. Your experience is someone's shortcut. One conversation could reshape a young person's future.
Here's how to become a mentor:
Visit huesapply.com and create your profile
Complete your profile fully
Open the Mentorship feature from the left-hand menu
Click "Become a Mentor" at the top right and complete your application
Create a free Cal.com account so young people can book time with you — you'll get notified for every session
The next generation of talent is ready and hungry. They just need someone to show them the way.
