My beautiful school
Jorh Missing This School Really
I love Thomas so much that it hurts that I will be leaving the school it is awesome there I wouldn't think of a better school from the junior to the senior school it has been the best 7 years of my life the teachers are amazing and I will always cherish the memories that I made in that school
If you are from the Cape Flats or wait let me hit it home, if you are from Hanover Park and anyone or any system wants to label you for where you come from just remind them that our current coaches for our national soccer teams (male and female) are both from Hanover Park. So don't let society limit you, don't let your upbringing determine you, make quality decisions and reach for your goals.
Thomas Wildschutt's very first school tour in 1983. Places we visited up the Garden route. George, Knysna, Outshoorn and Mossel Bay. Tour Organiser was Mr A Heemro. Principal at the time was Mr J Plaag.
So today was my first official day of retirement after 47years in education. I've been through all the name changes of departments, officials, curriculum. You name it. I've made many friends (and probably enemies🤔) with colleagues, learners and their parents over the years. I have fond memories of times writing out netball scorecards over a cup of tea or checking athletic registrations till late in the evenings. This is where many friendships were formed with colleagues from neighbouring schools. Really the good old days. For those who can remember... Steenberg Schools' Sports Union. I'm looking forward to being free of assessments and all the other admin that goes with it. I want to thank each and everyone for making my journey a special one. God bless you all. ♥️♥️♥️. My first class. Square Hill Primary 1974 and finally Marine Primary 2020. Merlyn Brittow. (My standard 3 teacher and netball coach at Thomas Wildschutt Senior Primary in 1983.
Wishing you a very Happy Birthday, Mrs Brittow. On your special day I would like to thank you for the priceless gift that you are, which you gave me every single day – knowledge and education! By being my class teacher in std 3 , you added value to my life!
Hi can a grade seven teacher please contact me as I still have not received no communication regarding school work thank you
Hi. Please advise will there be an online learning resource during lockdown. Whatsapp group also? Need to keep my son working from home Grade 5

We all had that favourite teacher. The one that stood out from amongst the rest. Merlyn Brittow was my primary school std 3 class teacher, music teacher and netball coach. Year 1983. She had a warmth and joy that radiated from her. Her loving, kind, patient and caring nature endured me to her...

As of midnight, the opportunity for parents to confirm or decline spaces at a school for the 2023 academic year will come to an end.

WCED spokesperson Bronagh Hammond says this particularly applies to learners who had been accepted at more than one school.

Once a place has been confirmed, all other successful offers will be withdrawn. This will, in turn, free up many available places at schools for learners on waiting lists. SOURCE: vocfm.co.za

Our Story

Co-ed school catering for the educative needs of 480 plus learners from 14 language groups/ communities, from South Africa and the rest of Africa. Although we are currently housed in prefabricated buildings, many of these structures are in need of urgent repair/ replacement.

Currently we cater to the educative needs of learners from various areas in and around the Southern Suburbs, including Lavender Hills, Lakeview, Westlake, Capricorn, Seawinds, Steenberg, Vrygrond, Masiphumelele, and other areas.

Many of our learners emanate from single-parent backgrounds where socio-economic issues are prevalent; our kids are exposed to many social ills including gangsterism, drug usage, alcoholism, domestic violence and other factors.

As we are currently facing financial difficulties, Thomas Wildschutt welcomes any donations to assist in our day-to-day operations. Contact our secretary, Ms Amos, at 084 498 2143 or email us at [email protected].
