The Alumni Homecoming Weekend presented by the Good Hope College Alumni Association is taking place in month's time from today and we hope you are just as excited as we are.

Our Weekend Theme: We've come thus far by faith

Our main guest speaker (also an alumnus), is Dr Ron du Preez from the USA.

The weekend festivities are all taking place on the Good Hope Campus, Kuils River.

Here is a brief overview of what you can expect.

FRI, 1 NOV at 19H00:
Opening Ceremony by the Alumni Association President and Vespers by a keynote speaker supported by music from alumni.

SAT, 2 NOV:
Sabbath School including a Children Ministries Programme
Divine Service
Lunch (coupons are available and to be ordered in advance)
Afternoon Program includes Mini Concert, Citations/Awards, Interviews, Campus Tours and more.
Sabbath Vespers followed by the AGM where Reports will be presented by the current ExCo members and the Election of a new Alumni Executive Committee.

SUN, 3 NOV:
Bazaar/Fun Day in partnership with the Good Hope Adventist Primary School. Table sales, games, children rides and activities, picnic baskets and much more.

It saddens us to announce the untimely death of Thandeka Langa beloved alumnus of Good Hope High School. Tandeka attended Good Hope 1989 - 1993 and matriculated with the likes Dorian Cerfontyne, Pumlani Mzo, Clinton Plaatjes, Deidre Patience and Meryl Pasqualie to mention a few.

Thandeka was a specialist Career Advisor and Entrepreneur who empowered, inspired and advised young people from diverse backgrounds and their parents on the various career opportunities available to them. She Founded Fab Warriors with the aim of partnering with parents and their children by inspiring and encouraging early career conversation whereby they could connect with each other and God with the aim of helping young people find purpose for their lives.

She held a Bachelor of Arts (Health Science and Social Services) with specialisation in Applied Psychology for Professional Contexts and had several year’s experience in career advising. She had previously served in Career Advisory roles at the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) focusing on NQF and Career Advice Services and Department of Higher Education’s Career Development Services.

Thandeka passed away after a shortly illness this week. Our prayers and condolences as an Alumni group to her family during this time of grief. Please continue to keep them in your prayers.

Good Hope Adventist High School

The Good Hope College Alumni Association​ and Ingoma Music Ministries Collaborate in a benefit musical afternoon for the late sister Faith Nqwelo. She was a member of the Ingoma family and attended Good Hope Adventist High School​. When she passed, she left behind five children who need our support. Further information will be shared on the day.
