Academics is and will continue to be our primary focus at school as we endeavor to uphold our high standards and the resulting sound academic performances from year to year. Congratulations to Fairmont’s very own Matthew Weldman (9BE), who has been selected to captain the WP team at the 12th edition of Hollywood Foundation Iqhawe Week!

Taking place from 28 September to 1 October in Worcester, Iqhawe Week brings together 16 U15 representative teams from across South Africa, providing a fantastic platform for young players to showcase their talent and open doors to future opportunities.

Matthew, we are incredibly proud to see you taking on this leadership role. From everyone at Fairmont, congratulations and best of luck to you and the entire WP team! We’ll be cheering you on all the way!

For the first time in many years, we hosted our Matric Dance back on school grounds.

Months of planning, organising, imagining and dreaming went into turning our Student Centre into something truly magical for the Class of 2026. From the flowers and tablescapes to the lighting, signage and every little detail, so many hands helped bring the vision to life.

A heartfelt thank you to every staff member who poured time and energy into making the evening possible, a special thank you to Ms. Bosch & Ms. Bezuidenhout and the MADCO Students, for all of your behind the scenes planning.

To our incredible sponsors, suppliers and friends of Fairmont:
•ClemenGold, for generously sponsoring the Mandarin juice.
•MON PETIT FLEUR, for the beautiful flowers.
•Rosy’s, for the decor.
•Downings, for the generous sponsorship of the marquee tent.
•Bunches for Africa.
•Fairmont’s very own sound and lighting crew.
•Kay-Dee for the fun music.
•Interactive Signs, for the invitations, menus, place cards and table numbers.
•Bangla Road Thai Food, for our delicious dinner.
•Authentic Cooking, for the pre-drinks and canapés shared with parents.
•Mrs Campbell and Mrs Vos, together with our Hospitality Society students, for creating the desserts.
•Butlers Pizza, for generously sponsoring dinner for our MADCO students who spent hours setting up and serving throughout the evening.
•Our incredible Fairmont Families who contributed discreetly and generously, to add to the magic.

It took a village to create this night and we are so grateful to every person who helped make the return of the Fairmont Matric Dance, home, such a special one.

A huge thank you to Cape Tents for their generous sponsorship of our Interschools Athletics Day.

With temperatures reaching a scorching 31°C, their beautiful stretch tents kept our students, athletes and staff shaded and comfortable throughout the day.

We are incredibly grateful for your support and for helping make the day such a success.

Thank you, Cape Tents!
