Our Fairmont netball players have recently achieved outstanding success on the provincial stage, and we couldn’t be prouder of what they’ve accomplished.

Congratulations to:
• Itumeleng Mathaba – U15 Cape Town, Gold Medal (1st place) at the Western Cape Interdistrict Tournament
• Chandre Wilson – U14 Cape Town Disas, Silver Medal (2nd place) at the Western Cape Interdistrict Tournament
• Delight Anele – U14 Cape Town Doves, Bronze Medal (3rd place) at the Western Cape Interdistrict Tournament
• Tafika Mnisi – Western Cape U14 Willows, 5th place at the South African School Netball Tournament
• Arianna Sadiki – Western Cape U16 Cedars, 12th place at the South African School Netball Tournament

Competing at these prestigious tournaments is an achievement in itself, and our players represented their teams, their province, and Fairmont High School with determination, skill, and pride.

Congratulations on your incredible performances. We are immensely proud of each of you and look forward to celebrating many more successes in the future.

What an opening night!

Our 2026 production of High School Musical kicked off in spectacular style last night, and what a night it was! From the big numbers to the unforgettable characters, the energy in the room was electric.

But we’re not done yet! The Wildcats are on stage until Saturday night, so there are still chances to experience the magic for yourself.

Congratulations to our Head of Hockey, Liza Duckitt, on her appointment as Team Manager of the Western Province U21 Women’s team for the 2026 Inter-Provincial Tournament.

Ms. Duckitt will join the province’s leading young players in Gqeberha from 10–14 August for one of the key tournaments on the U21 hockey calendar, supporting the team as they compete against the best young provincial talent in the country.

We are incredibly proud to see Ms. Duckitt representing both Western Province and Fairmont at this level. We wish her and the team every success for the tournament.

Last night, our Fairmont Matric Leaders had the privilege of hosting the learner leaders from The Settlers High School as part of a long-standing tradition ahead of our annual Derby weekend.

The evening was filled with great conversations, fun team-building activities, plenty of laughter, and a shared meal as our learners had the opportunity to get to know one another, learn more about each other’s schools, and build meaningful connections before the friendly rivalry begins.

Traditions like these remind us that respect, friendship and community make this Derby truly special. We wish both schools all of the best for this year’s FHS x The Settlers Derby!
