We also take a moment to remember and honour the Fairmont fathers who are no longer with us. Their impact and legacy continue to be felt by those who loved them.

50 years ago, the youth of South Africa changed history.

Today, we remember the learners of 16 June 1976 whose courage, determination and belief in a better future left an enduring legacy for generations to come.

As a school community, we honour their memory by continuing to value education, opportunity, respect and service. Their story reminds us that young people have the power to shape the future and make a lasting difference in the world around them.

Selected for the CTHSN Inter-District Tournament in Bredasdorp (15–18 July):

• U15: Itumeleng Mathaba

Selected for the Western Cape All Ages Tournament at Dr EG Jansen (28 June–2 July):
• U14: Tafika Mnisi (Willows)
• U16: Arianna Sadiki (Cedars)

These selections are a testament to the players’ hard work, dedication and talent on the court. We wish them every success as they represent their teams and Fairmont with pride.

Fairmont High School is seeking a passionate and qualified Business Studies & EMS Educator (Grades 8–12) to join our dedicated staff from Term 3.

We are looking for an educator who is committed to academic excellence, innovative teaching, lifelong learning, and the holistic development of our learners, while embodying Fairmont’s core values of Respect, Integrity, Service and Excellence.

Congratulations to Blake Birk on his selection to the Western Province Junior Squash U17 Team for 2026.

This achievement is a testament to Blake’s dedication, perseverance, and commitment to excellence on the squash court. We are incredibly proud of this well-deserved honour and look forward to following his journey as he represents Western Province at the highest level.
