Today we bid farewell to a true legend, Die yster van Parkvale Primary. Mr Damon was one of the teachers who opened the school 40 years ago. Today, you rang the bell saying SCHOOLS OUT. You have invested in the lives of so many learners at Parkvale Primary, as well as the community of Valhalla Park.

We started our extra classes for our Grade 6 classes on Saturday. This initiative is the brainchild of Mrs Hendricks.
Thank you to the learners and parents who came out and are willing to make the sacrifice for a better future.
We, however would like to provide the learners with a little snack in the morning, like a sandwich, juice and fruit, but are in need of some sponsorship.
If you are able to assist us please contact the school at 021-934 5693. Much appreciated. No child of Parkvale and Valhalla Park will be left behind.

SHINCHEONJI VOLUNTEERS HOST BACK-TO-SCHOOL STATIONERY DRIVE TO SUPPORT UNDERSERVED SCHOLARS

On Friday 3 February 2023 volunteers from Shincheonji Church of Jesus hosted a back-to-school stationery drive to provide essential school supplies to scholars in need. The main event took place at Parkvale Primary School in Valhalla Park, Cape Town.

With the recent start of the new school year, many families are facing financial difficulties and various challenges due to a struggling economy, making it hard for their children to purchase the basic supplies they need for success. Shincheonji Church of Jesus through its various community outreach and support projects is dedicated to helping these families and ensuring that every scholar has the tools to participate in the learning process.

More than 200 stationery packs were distributed to grade 4 to 7 learners at Parkvale Primary School. All the items for the back-to-school stationery packs have been donated by Shincheonji members from around the city and include items like pencils, pens, notebooks, rulers, scissors and other essential items.

Hundreds of excited learners also participated in the festive activities and atmosphere created by Shincheonji Volunteers on the school grounds. Learners took part in a dance battle while a special TikTok video was made.

“We believe that every scholar deserves the chance to succeed, regardless of their family’s financial situation or their social standing,” says Shincheonji Volunteers spokesperson Nic Ngcobo. “This stationery drive is one small way we can make a big difference in the lives of these deserving scholars.”

The church is also hosting similar back-to-school drives in other communities and cities across South Africa, including Johannesburg, Gqeberha, Pietermaritzburg, Durban, Bafokeng, and as far a field as Windhoek in Namibia and Harare in Zimbabwe.

We as a school staff, learners , parents and community wish to convey our thanks and appreciation to the Shincheonji Church , its congregation for the generous contribution and especially the volunteers who made the interactive and fun program . May your establishment go from strenght to strenght in Christ.

Good morning. Its been a while.
Back to school one of these days. I was listening to a topic on TV the other day.
Parents
Children should go to bed early from this week already. So their bodies can prepare for school readiness.
Teachers must start teaching from day 1 already

Psstt if your child still don't have a place. Go to the schools prior to schools opening for learners.
Moms- My plea is if you go to school please dress presentable. No gowns and soolkous.

I hope all these will be sorted before the start of their 2023 academic year

Have an awesome year 👌
I also came across this.

School is about to start so please sit down with your child for 5 minutes and explain that being very tall, short, chubby, skinny, black or white is no joke. That there is nothing wrong with wearing the same shoes every day. Explain to them that a used backpack carries the same dreams as a new one. Teach them not to exclude someone because they are "different" or do not have the same opportunities as others. Explain that teasing hurts...and that they go to school to LEARN, NOT to compete. YOU AND I HAVE THE SAME VALUE! EDUCATION STARTS AT HOME... It's *AT HOME* that children should learn to say:
01 - Good morning
02 - Good afternoon
03 - Good evening
04 - Please
05 - With your permission
06 - Sorry
07 - Forgive me
08 - Thank you very much
09 - Thank you
10 - I was wrong

It's *AT HOME* that we also learn to:
01 - Be honest
02 - Be punctual
03 - Do not insult
04 - Be polite
05 - Respect everyone: friends, colleagues, elders, teachers, authorities
Still *at home* we learn to:
01 - Eat everything
02 - Do not talk with your mouth full
03 - Have personal hygiene 04 - Don't throw litter on the ground
05 - Help parents with their daily chores
06 - Don't take what doesn't belong to you
07 - Be content with what you have
08 - Work honestly to earn a living
09 - Dress with modesty
*At home* we still learn to:
01 - Get organized
02 - Take care of your belongings
03 - Do not touch other people's belongings
0 4 - Respect the rules,
05 - Speak your mother tongue(s), master your culture and spirituality

Because *AT SCHOOL* teachers should teach: ■ Mathematics ■ French ■ History ■ Geography ■ Foreign language ■ Science ■ Chemistry ■ Physics ■ Biology ■ Philosophy ■ Sociology ■ Physical education ■ Art... And only reinforce what the student has learned *AT HOME*!!! Because it is from what we have learned *AT HOME* that the individual will be respected, that he will respect life.
School, street.... will never replace home🙏🏽👍👍👌🏼👌🏼👀 *All families let's fight together!!!
