🌊🐠 The Ocean 🐢🦀

Last week, in celebration of World Ocean Day on 8 June, our little learners dived into the wonderful world of the ocean! 🌎💙

The children learnt about a variety of ocean animals, their habitats, and the importance of protecting our oceans and marine life. We spoke about ways we can all help keep our oceans clean and safe for the amazing creatures that call them home. 🐬🐳🐙

To end off our exciting week, our teachers put on a special ocean-themed puppet show called “Tilly Turtle and Ocean Friends”. The story followed Tilly and her friends on an adventure to find a magical rainbow shell. Along the way, they learnt valuable lessons about teamwork, kindness, friendship, and helping one another. 🌈🐢✨

The children absolutely loved the puppet show and were fully engaged from start to finish! It was a wonderful way to bring our ocean theme to life while creating special memories and meaningful learning experiences.

❄️☃️ Winter Theme Fun! ☃️❄️

Our little ones absolutely loved learning all about our Winter Theme! 💙🌧️ From cozy indoor activities to exciting hands-on experiences, the children had so much fun exploring and learning through play.

We enjoyed lots of fine motor activities ✂️🖍️ and engaging sensory play 🧤❄️ that kept our busy little hands and curious minds active while staying warm indoors. The children loved discovering different textures, creating winter-themed art, and participating in fun learning experiences with their friends.

It was a wonderful week filled with laughter, creativity, learning, and plenty of winter magic! ✨💙

Today we kicked off our exciting Ocean Theme at Plattekloof Educare! Our little explorers have begun learning all about the amazing oceans that cover our planet and the wonderful sea creatures that call them home.

Through stories, discussions, art, and hands-on activities, we will be discovering fascinating ocean animals, learning about marine life, and understanding the importance of keeping our oceans clean and protected for future generations.

🦖🦕 Last week we learnt all about Dinosaurs, and it was definitely one of our favourite themes! 🦖🦕

Our little explorers were so excited to come to school each day dressed in their coolest dinosaur outfits, roaring with excitement and ready to discover the fascinating world of dinosaurs. 🌋🦴✨

Throughout the week, the children enjoyed a variety of fun and educational activities that helped develop their creativity, imagination, fine motor skills, and language development while learning about these incredible prehistoric creatures. 🎨✂️📚

To end off the week, we hosted an amazing DINO LAND Sensory Play Day on Friday! 🦖🌿🦴 The children absolutely loved digging for dinosaur bones, exploring different textures, and immersing themselves in a prehistoric sensory adventure. Their smiles, laughter, and excitement made the day truly unforgettable! 💚😊

This morning we celebrated our annual Mother’s Day Breakfast at the beautiful , The Bird Cage. It was truly a special morning. 🌸☕💕

We were honoured to have the incredible join us, sharing a heartfelt and meaningful message with all of our moms, while also making us laugh so much and filling the room with absolute joy and positivity. ✨

It was lovely to spend quality time with some of the amazing moms of Plattekloof Educare, giving them a chance to relax, enjoy a morning off, and celebrate the incredible women and mothers they are. 🌷

From the delicious breakfast to the warm atmosphere, beautiful conversations, and endless laughter, the morning was definitely one to remember. We are so grateful to all the moms who joined us and helped make the event so memorable.

A very special Mother’s Day morning at Plattekloof Educare 💐🤍

Yesterday morning we celebrated all the amazing moms who do so much for their little ones every single day. Each mommy got to enjoy a special photo moment with their child on arrival, creating beautiful memories to treasure forever. 📸

To make the morning extra special, our moms were treated to a delicious cappuccino and muffin before heading off to work — a small token of appreciation for all the love, care and dedication they give so selflessly each day. ☕🧁
