ππ CELEBRATING WORLD PLAY DAY 2026! ππ
On the 28th of May 2026, our school proudly celebrated World Play Day, a special occasion dedicated to recognising the importance of play in the lives of children and young people.
Throughout the day, our learners participated in a variety of engaging activities that encouraged teamwork, creativity, movement and joyful interaction. The laughter, excitement and enthusiasm displayed by our learners served as a wonderful reminder that play is a powerful tool for learning and well-being.
For learners in inclusive school settings, play creates meaningful opportunities to build friendships, develop social skills, express emotions and experience success in a supportive environment. It helps foster a sense of belonging and promotes positive mental health and emotional well-being.
At our school, we recognise that every learner deserves opportunities to learn through play, explore their strengths and experience the joy that comes from active engagement with others.
Thank you to our staff and learners for making this year's World Play Day celebration such a memorable and enjoyable experience!

πβ¨ CELEBRATING TALENT, INCLUSION AND CREATIVITY! β¨π
On 21 May 2026, a group of our talented learners had the privilege of participating in a Collaborative Culture Event hosted by Alta du Toit School, alongside learners from several other inclusive schools.
The variety show was a vibrant celebration of talent, creativity, diversity and inclusion. Audiences were treated to an incredible range of performances, including singing, dancing, acting and percussion, with each learner showcasing their unique abilities, confidence and passion on stage. The event highlighted the remarkable talent that exists within our inclusive school communities and demonstrated the power of the performing arts to bring people together.
Participation in the performing arts plays a vital role in the holistic development of learners. Through music, drama and dance, learners develop self-confidence, communication skills, creativity, teamwork, self-expression and emotional well-being. These opportunities allow learners to shine, build meaningful connections and experience the joy of success in a supportive and inclusive environment.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Alta du Toit School for the invitation and for hosting such a well-organised and inspiring event. Thank you for creating a platform where learners could express themselves, celebrate one another's achievements and experience the true spirit of collaboration and inclusion.
We are incredibly proud of our learners for representing our school with enthusiasm, confidence and excellence. Their performances were a testament to their hard work, dedication and courage.
πΆπ₯ππ Together, we continue to celebrate the transformative power of the arts and the limitless potential of every learner.
