🌈🍜🌿Healing Broth Bowl Workshop!⛰️✨
A delicious look inside this deeply nourishing class…Such special moments from this past weekend, where students learnt how to identify and use edible weeds, this seasons wild greens packed with nutrients, growing right at our feet. Plus an array of edible flowers, fynbos herbs and garden ingredients! We shared the foundations of broth-making, from scratch stocks to layering flavours with mushrooms, seaweeds, herbs and spices. Everyone made hand-pulled, hand-cut noodles from scratch and cooked the broth over the fire that was enjoyed at a slow, seasonal lunch, gathered around the table in our Glasshouse with botanical drinks and the best conversations.
⭐️✌🏽Next broth bowl workshop: 29 Aug, tickets and info linked in bio!

This past weekend we hosted a wildly delicious edible landscape immersion 💫 We had foraging and plant talks, beautiful nature conversations, an educational walk in and around the cultivated wild herb gardens, farm and fynbos mountainside in search of wild flavour and ecological stories. After a wintery (but sunny!) walk, back at the Glasshouse we enjoyed fynbos teas, wild greens soup, nettle sourdough rolls and a rainbow selection of wild pantry preserves and ferments. A delicious gathering in more ways than one, big heartfelt thanks to all of our wonderful students! Upcoming workshops include Healing Broth Bowl and Edible Weeds, Wild Remedies and Edible Spring Flowers 🌷 🍜🌈⛰️🫶🏼💚💫 Join us! Tickets and details linked in bio 🎫🌞

I have been to a lot of dining experiences around the world. Nothing has ever looked or felt quite like Veld and Sea’s Underwater Love pop-up dinner on the Cape Peninsula. 🌿🌊

Tucked into Noordhoek, the Veld and Sea Glasshouse is one of the most beautiful and unexpected dining spaces I have ever sat inside. Nature pressing in from every direction. Intimate, warm, and completely alive with the landscape surrounding it.

Every single ingredient on the table was foraged, grown, or gathered that same day. Wild herbs from the mountainside, seaweeds from the coastline, edible flowers from the gardens. This is not farm to table. This is mountain and ocean to table.

🍹 The botanical mocktail station was interactive, creative, and genuinely delicious. Bring your own gin and thank yourself later.

🌊 A small group of people gathered around wild food, forager storytelling, and a shared appreciation for something that could not exist anywhere else in the world. That specificity is exactly what made it so special.

Veld and Sea is not just a foraging dinner experience in Cape Town. It is a place that exists entirely on its own terms. And those are always the most extraordinary ones.

❤️ Would you travel somewhere specifically for a dining experience like this? Drop it in the comments! 👇
