Bright Start Grade R - 2025 in full effect 🖍️🎨

In observance of the 10th Muharram, a day of reflection and compassion. Bright Start Preschool and Educare took the opportunity to extend a helping hand to those in need within the Goodwood Community.

Recognizing the significance of the 10th Muharram across cultures, we felt compelled to contribute positively. The 10th Muharram also known as Ashura, holds significant cultural, historical and religious importance across various communities. Ashura is not only observed by Muslims but also respected by other faiths and cultures as a day of reflection, penance and solidarity. It serves as a reminder of our human values such as compassion, empathy and to fight against tyranny and oppression.

With the support of our teachers and our learner's parents, we collected and distributed fresh bread, ensuring that everyone could partake in the spirit of solidarity and giving. This initiative aimed to foster a sense of unity and empathy among us all regardless of our backgrounds or beliefs.

Through this small act. We at Bright Start Preschool and Educare hope to inspire others to find ways to contribute meaningfully to the wellbeing of our communities and not just on significant days like the 10th Muharram, but throughout the year.
Together, we can create a more compassionate and supportive society for our children and their generation to grow up in.

As we commemorate the 10th Muharram, we want to reaffirm our values and our commitment of kindness, empathy and generosity, ensuring that the spirit of caring for others shines Brightly through our people's at Bright Start.
