Happy birthday to teacher Ingrid 🥳

Today we celebrated teacher Anna’s birthday 🎂

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Teacher Nandi.

For the past 10 years, Nandi has been an irreplaceable part of the Letterland family. She touched the lives of so many children, parents, and colleagues through her gentle nature, caring heart, and unwavering dedication.

She built countless special bonds and was always willing to go the extra mile to make those around her feel loved, supported, and valued.

Nandi was more than just a teacher — she was a friend, a source of comfort, and a light within our school. Her kindness, patience, and beautiful spirit left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know her. The love she poured into the children and her work will never be forgotten.

She leaves behind her precious 8-year-old child, and our thoughts, prayers, and deepest condolences are with her family during this unimaginable time of loss.

After being diagnosed with cancer, Nandi faced her journey with incredible courage, strength, and grace. She fought bravely until the very end.

Although her passing leaves an emptiness that words cannot truly express, her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all those whose lives she touched.

Gone far too soon, but never forgotten.

May her beautiful soul rest in eternal peace.

Today, our little learners brought the hive to life with their adorable bee-themed dress-up outfits! From tiny buzzing bees to beautiful flowers and nature-inspired creations, the excitement was truly unbelievable! 🐝

They discovered how important bees are to our environment and the role they play in helping plants, fruits, and flowers grow through fun, creativity, and learning. 🌼🍯

There were only sweet smiles, striped outfits, and little wings fluttering around the school today! Thank you to all our wonderful parents for making this day extra special. 💛

“Bee” kind, “bee” curious, and always “bee” yourself! 🐝

Yesterday we hosted Crecilda from Fish Hoek Farms, for an engaging and educational visit at Letterland regarding “Bee’s” in lieu of World Bee day today 🐝🌻

Crecilda interacted beautifully with the children, teaching them how vital bees are to our environment and everyday lives. The learners discovered that bees are responsible for pollinating many of the fruits, vegetables, and plants we rely on for food. Without bees, a large portion of the world’s crops would struggle to grow.

The children were fascinated to learn that:
• A single bee can visit up to 5,000 flowers in one day 🌼
• Bees communicate with one another through a special “waggle dance”
• Honey bees play a crucial role in maintaining healthy ecosystems and biodiversity
• Nearly one-third of the food we eat depends on pollinators like bees 🍎🥑

It was a meaningful hands-on learning experience that encouraged curiosity, environmental awareness, and appreciation for nature.
