Valhalla High School presents Jantjies and the Pearls.

Jantjies and the Pearls unfolds in District 6 during the 1960s.
District Six was a vibrant place where people from different cultures, ethnicities and religions lived alongside each other.
The town’s very existence was a threat to the Apartheid government.
The story takes place when District Six has just been made a white area. Eviction notices which the residents call “love letters” declare the residents must move from their homes. Ruth
Jantjies however concocts a bizarre plan in order to save her home from destruction.
