27 -30 October 2025.

Monday: Cottage Pie with veggies.

Tuesday: Nando's inspired boujee bowls (strips of chicken fillets on a bed of savoury rice with red peppers, corn, baby spinach and topped with a hot or mild sauce of your choice).

Wednesday : Simply Asia "514" (strips of tenderised steak with caramelised onions, red/ green peppers and cashew nuts with ramen noodles.

Thursday : Cape Malay chicken curry served with rice and a tomato&onion sambal.

* All meals are *R85* per individual portion except the "514" which is *R90* .

I'm back home safely after a lovely break.

Also some breaking news!
It has been 10 years since I first started the "Dinner with Gail" venture in October 2015. It has been an absolutely wonderful experience, reinventing myself after a long successful career of doing something completely different. In the last decade I have met so many beautiful people through my daily interactions with my loyal clients. Sadly a few have passed on, but are still remembered fondly. Others have moved out of the area, or their circumstances have changed, but they still keep in regular contact.

I have thoroughly enjoyed the experience of cooking for your families. But all good things must come to an end, and sadly, this journey has run its course.Not in my wildest dreams, had I imagined that this little idea would blossom into something so satisfying and fulfilling.

After some deep thought and weighty discussions, I have decided to hang up my apron for good at the end of October this year.

Thanks for all your support and friendship over the years. It has been an absolute pleasure for me. Thanks also to Yanga Tshayankosi who been my loyal assistant since July 2019. I could not/would not have done this for so long without her able assistance.

But before we go, one last month of delicious meals to look forward to. So here is my menu for this week:

6 - 9 October 2025.

Monday: Crumbed Masala Chicken fillet strips with fried potato wedges and vegetables.

Tuesday: Beef Lasagne served with veggies.

Wednesday: *Chicken* breyani served with a yoghurt and coriander sambal.

Thursday: Braised beef served with mashed potato and veggies.
