The Groote Schuur High School Music department educates learners in all genres of music. We are proud to present our Senior Marimba Band.
This exciting band features music spanning an eclectic sound. Their music covers a wide variety of genres and styles, including traditional African music, Western Art music and Jazz. The fusion of these styles adds to the unique sound of the ensemble.
The performances of our Marimba band showcases the vibrant energy of each exceptional member and embodies the values of the cultural community at Groote Schuur High School.
We strive to have our music serve as a vehicle for change, healing, and restoration in our school and greater community.
