"From the whole, to the part. "
Geomatics students participated in Survey Camp 2025
Special thanks to Optron, who kindly took the time to head out and join in, sharing the latest and greatest of their offerings, to inspire these upcoming geospatial minds.
Connecting with industry and practice always gives students a stronger professional identity and understanding of the great need for our skill set.
There was also a lovely braai, some games and hearty laughter after to allow for "aura farming" and camaraderie to flourish!

A reshare of a short quotes post made by Geomatics alumni Dr Kevin Musungu, who was featured on the main university page today.
“I believe struggles refine character. Just as a tree forms concentric rings with each passing season – some thick with abundance, others thin from hardship – each trial in life leaves its mark, adding strength and depth to who we become.” - Dr Kevin Musungu, PhD in Geomatics graduate.
