On the first day of , it is our great pleasure to introduce you to our new (YIP) participants.

Tania Job (third from right), from DQ Staffing Solutions, an accredited service provider that helps us manage this programme, helped us welcome Kurt Hartzenberg, Michael Ali, Mujaahid Adams, Laiken Job and Masivuye Jali when they reported for duty at our Cape Town warehouse yesterday.

They will complete our 6-month Services SETA-accredited programme that consists of intensive theoretical training and practical training.

was launched in May 2019 in an effort to lower the supply chain entry barrier and help address the growing problem of in South Africa. Since the programme’s inception two years ago, we have trained 16 interns and absorbed six into various positions at FoodForward SA.

Thanks to the support of WOOLWORTHS, the Industrial Development Corporation and our donors, our Internship Programme enables us to work towards the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal for quality ().

Required Criteria:
• Must be between the ages of 18 - 35 years.
• Must have obtained a grade 12 certificate or equivalent (NQF4).
• Must have contactable numbers / references.
• Able to communicate efficiently both verbally and in writing.
• Candidates must be self-motivated and driven.
• Some tertiary education is advantageous
