Every culture has its own version of ring games and clapping songs.

Toddlers have been learning rhythm, turn-taking and community through play for generations.

Long before structured classes existed, children were already learning to move together, take turns and belong, through clapping songs, ring games and rhythms passed down from grandparent to parent to child.

This Heritage Day, we're celebrating that thread. It's the same instinct that brings toddlers together today: movement, rhythm and connection, generation after generation.

The human jungle gym. The one they climbed on, clung to and came back to when the world felt too big.

Parallel play is a normal developmental stage, usually appearing around ages 2 to 3, where toddlers play side-by-side with similar toys but do not actively play together. They are "alone together," focusing on their own activities while observing peers, which builds independence, social skills, and cognitive abilities. 

Actual social play only starts around 3. This is why Clamber Club is SUCH a great pre-cursor to help your little ones get used to the idea of playing "together"

Thirty-one years later, freedom looks like little ones who move without limits. It looks like laughter on obstacle courses, wobbling on balance beams and the pure, unfiltered joy of a child discovering what their body can do.

At Clamber Club, we believe that freedom starts in the body. When children are given the space to climb, crawl, jump and explore, they don't just develop physically. They grow confident. They grow brave. They grow free.
