💛 That’s a wrap on Term 3, HCSS family! 💛

What a special term it has been.

We sang, created, performed, cheered each other on and made so many happy memories together. From Choir Festival and Creative Corner to Entrepreneurs Day, karate achievements, faith-filled moments and the magic of A Midsummer Musical, there was so much to celebrate.

Thank you to our learners, staff, parents and wider Holy Cross community for all the love, support and school spirit you bring. You help make HCSS the beautiful place that it is.

Now it is time to rest, have fun and enjoy a well-deserved holiday. Stay safe, make lovely memories and come back next term with lots of stories to share.

Have an amazing break, HCSS family. We will see you next term! 💜💛

🎭✨ What a week to remember!

A Midsummer Musical was so much more than a concert. It was a celebration of our learners, their courage, creativity, hard work and the wonderful spirit of our HCSS community. 💜

A very special thank you to Jamie Maart and Enrico de Hahn for helping bring this production to life, to Mrs van der Hoven for all the heart and dedication poured into the show, and to every staff member who worked behind the scenes to make the magic happen.

We are also incredibly grateful to Focusgro Nursery for their generous support and beautiful contribution to our production. 🌿✨

And finally, to our parents, families, friends and wider community: thank you for showing up, cheering loudly and filling our hall with so much love and support. You helped make A Midsummer Musical the success it was, and we could not have done it without you.

Here’s to the memories, the laughter, the nerves, the applause and a little bit of magic we’ll carry with us long after the curtain has closed. 🧚‍♀️💫

Some people become part of a school’s story not only through what they do, but through the kindness, faith and presence they share along the way. 🤍

Today, our Holy Cross family remembers Fr Nkululeko Qokolo with deep gratitude. We are thankful for the time, care and dedication he gave to our school and for the many moments in which he walked alongside our community.

We hold his family, friends, parishioners and all who loved him close in prayer. May the love he shared continue to live quietly in the hearts of those whose lives he touched.

Rest peacefully, Fr Nkululeko. You will be remembered with love. 🕊️🙏

🌟 WEEK SEVEN GAVE US SO MUCH TO CELEBRATE! 🌟

We had such a proud week at HCSS! 💛

Our karate learners competed at the KSI South National Trials and represented Holy Cross so well. 🥋👏 Torge, Ivile and Richard each earned bronze medals, with Richard bringing home two bronze medals! We are so proud of the whole team for their hard work, courage and discipline.

We also celebrated Anna Jacobs from Grade 5, who had an amazing time at the Boland Karate Tournament. Anna earned GOLD in Kata and BRONZE in Kumite! 🏆⭐ What a fantastic achievement!

And the excitement for A Midsummer Musical is getting bigger every day! 🧚‍♀️🌙 We are getting closer to show week and we cannot wait to share all the love, magic and mayhem with our HCSS families. ✨

This week, our Faith & Reflection reminded us:

“Let all that you do be done in love.”
1 Corinthians 16:14 💗

We are learning that even the smallest kind act can brighten someone’s day.

Week Seven, you gave us so many reasons to smile! 🌟
